Finals weekend...turnout

First topic message reminder :

I'm not trying to start anything with this...just bringing it up where SQ people can chime in...
There are only a few of our crowd represented on this forum and the forum is not good enough for advertisement and etc. We all know that. I would like to know how much time we need between USACi Finals and MECA Finals (10/16/2010...Lebanon,TN).
I can tell you if it's too close of a date, competitors will have to choose. I just want to see feed back. Jorge is Team coordinator for USACi for Team Hybrids...so that is his call, but I know we have a few guys that will have to pick if they are a week apart.
I know of another Team in this predicament as well. They will have to choose if a week apart....even the manufacturer support side of things. I understand everyone trying to be all secretive and show up...but if we want to see SQ grow or just continue, I think feedback is important. So...speak up....

Looking forward to competing in SQ at finals this year, since there are no M CA shows near here I don't have to worry about choosing. Now time to work on the car for finals.

Lots of NEW and EXCITING things planned for finals this year. We wil be making them known as they become more solid, but looks to be a great step forward this year.

I don't gamble.....but I love to drink! Its just really neat to have finals so close to something fun.

The location is perfect for me. The convention center is 5 minutes from my house.

Well. Ive been going to USACi Finals since 2001. But this year Ill be going to MECA Finals. LA is 950mi and TN is 540mi . Im taking the shorter drive. I would have liked to judge at USACi and compete4d at MECA but of course they are on the same weekend.

I WORKED IN SHREVEPORT FOR A YEAR AND ALL I CAN SAY IS EVERYBODY BETTER SLEEP IN THEY RIDE OR IT WILL COME UP MISSING...I WAS THERE FOR 1 YEAR AND TRUCK GOT BROKE INTO 3 TIMES AND OUT OF THE 31 PEOPLE I HAD WORKING FOR ME MORE THEN HALF OF THEM GOT BROKE INTO OR GOT THEIR CARS STOLEN...NOT TRYING TO BE NEGATIVE BUT THE CRIME RATE IN SHREVEPORT IS CLOSE TO THE WORST IN THE COUNTRY...GLAD WE HAD A CHANGE OF LOCATION BUT IF YOU PLAN ON GOING TO FINALS YOU BETTER PROTECT YO Dung Pile!!!!!

I live in Bossier City, about 5 minutes from the Convention Center. Where finals is being held is not that bad. There are parts of Shreveport that are exactly what Mickey described but not where we will be.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and my truck and trailer was out in the parking lot the whole time. Where we are has cameras and patrolled. Every city has crime that is just the way it is, not saying that crime might not happen but they do have some protection there. Plus most of the vehicles will be indoors at the Convention Center and the Hilton is connected to the Convention Center.
