| I'm not sure on his number or size of batts, I haven't looked in there since he put the 3500's in there. I don't want to tell his future plans, they're his to tell, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag! lol
Yeah, it's definitely a loud ass truck! He does a lot of testing and tuning on it though so that on top of the support he has will definitely help him to get louder.

Not so much man. For me, it would've been nice to see more competitors on Sunday but there weren't any until Jerry got there. I mean, theyre was people competing but they weren't competitors.

Wow someone's taking this a little too seriously. It's just a stereo comp. It's not like we are battling to put food on the table and who doesn't win starves to death. It's just for fun, at least to me. Anyway, I have no idea what my amps clamp, don't really care either. Dbs is what wins not clamped power. I was running a single stock 100a alt that is over 10 yrs old and I doubt has ever put out over 80 amps. The voltage drops to 13v when the turn signal is on for God's sake, don't even think about turning on the ac unless you are on the highway. I think I could have done better in Jackson b/c I'm haveing rca problems that would send 1 of my amps into protect so I burped it once to make sure everything was good right b/f I metered which of course drained my batts. I didn't really think it mattered b/c the girl told me the highest score in my class was 155. I didn't even bother to take a second run b/c I thought I had it by 2 DBs. I've got my sights set considerably higher than the little 156-7s that I'm doing now. This is just where I happen to be at the moment. Now it's time to go out and tweak some more.

looks like i know some people itching for a real spl install.. time for a astro?? lol Lol, I see it's like if I said I DROVE my truck 350 miles to go to that show and his truck was trailered so his HO alt was nice and cool, while my cheap pos oe alt was roasting so that's why his was .6 louder. I hope he didn't mean anything by his post. I've talked to him several times and he was always very cool. Anyway, I have definitely been thinking of something that's more SPL oriented either an Astro if I can find one close for the right price or that S10 that's for sale on here. Should be a fun comp between you two and he does it for fun too but its more fun when you win. We all know that.

I forgot what its called but it has something to do with the motor, I think its like a coolant plug or something like that. I think he told me the part is less than $100 but if you're interested I'll give you his number either via pm or this weekend and yall can talk about it.

I'm just saying that it's something to consider when looking at our scores. Like Alan said if you want to start throwing in "what ifs" you have to do it for both competitors. I know he changed his box recently but everything else appears to be the same since I first saw him at SikNik last year, as far as I can tell, but not one thing is the same in my truck since last year, not even the power wire. My first comp with this setup was at IFO, only 1 month and 3 weeks ago( just something to consider). His truck was trailered to SicNik, too, iirc. Doesn't seem to make sence to spend all of that time and money to build a new box and not replace a $30 throw our bearing.

$300 huh? All I need to do is win 2 more 3X events, huh? lol Easier said than done. I think I know the part you are talking about. It's a pewter fitting where the heater hose goes into the intake. They always rot but the replacements are stainless so that doesn't happen. Do you know what year and condition?

I was just wondering what your set up was Then theres always someone wanna jump in and talk all this Dung Pile about shoulda wouldas that gets on my nerves .Point is i have no problem with you and only wish you the best with your goal.that being said would the outsiders stfu or build something and not buy it already loud

I agree 100%. Like I said earlier I talked to you and Brett at several of the shows and both of y'all were cool as could be. I have no problem with you at all. I just got a little put off cause the tone in your post (to me at least) was like I don't have sh!t and you were barely playing with me and I better watch out cause next time you're gonna hook up your other 2 amps and come out doing 165s just to teach me a lesson. Hopefully, I just took it wrong cause you didn't seem that way in person but in the end who really cares the scores are what they are.

That's cool. I really didn't think it was like that because you didn't seem like that type in person but for some reason I just took it like that and started getting defensive because I work twice as hard as most people for every tenth I get. Sorry I took it wrong. - beatnoutdaframe wrote:

Doesn't he build other people's vehicles that do very well and wasn't that van a completely different build in the same van? Or am I thinking of something different?

Built or bought cause if we talking about the same person that van won championships before he owned it Nah, I doubt we're talking about the same person. The guy I'm talkin bout build two 2nd place finishers at last years finals and I'm sure he built his van as well. Not to mention all the serious ground pounders he's built out here. Anyways, I'm glad you and Jerry got this little situation resolved. Misunderstandings can have horrible consequences.
