Trunk is gonna be ferice!!

First topic message reminder :

Well this is what i got done as of now...

0awg wire
Big 3
Stock alt 90amp
1 Audioforce 1100 battery in trunk
1 Yellowtop in front(hood)
Only used 1 d5 amp...due to the master, slave terminal broke.
2 dd 3512's
In a crappy 2 hour (thrown together box,tuned at 45htz)

We built and tuned for a total of 3 hrs hrs...just to see a starting point

Remember I have another d5 to hook up,holes in my trunk to fill,another batt to add,A large case 300 amp altenator and a better built box with fiberglass and my own termlab and mucho test time...Looks like Im smelling a 155 easy!

I wasent around then, I used to autocross race in scca. But I would love to see this. If it is possible ill for sure shake your hand and give you props! Make it a point to put that trunk car in the mix this year...too many people running their mouths about how "easy" it is, but I don't see any proof. If this car is that loud come join us, or post some vids or pics. Till then a lot of people will doubt you.


Kevin, its not that we don't think a trunk car can hit a 60, the question is... Can it hit a 60 with the current class limitations?? That is the question

You have everything right but that it was on 2 batts not 3. Eh, it was a nice setup at the time but no where near what everyone else was doing in that class. IIRC I was 4 db down from first place lol. I just wanted to go for the experience and show that you could get loud numbers out of trunk car. In '08 I was planning to run the jetta again but when they didn't follow through with the trunk class i went out and bought a CRX. Had I kept the jetta in '09 it would have been interesting to see what it would have done on a Cactus 7k and 6-10's but we'll never know possibly 58-59's.
