I don't think you have to be on a team and alot of people helping you. I took third at world finals last year. My first year competing, in a car that was thrown together 2 hours before it had to be at bartle hall. Could not keep voltage up, took third. Ran agianst some great guys that beat me. You say you are just going to come out and win, you have another thing coming. Might not want to start calling out the big dogs when you can't even come close to what #'s they show. Wait till finals this year and you will realize that the #'s seen so far are not even close to what it will take to play in this sport. Buy what you want, beat somebody, but don't cry when someone hands your azz to you. Money can't buy you the respect, nor by talking smack to the top dogs of this sport get you anywhere either.

you should have your installers give you a 15X.Xdb guarantee, that way when you pay XXXX dollars for a box you know you might actually get a good one next time

let me repeat myself im not going to finals this year and by next year will be at 155 so i hope that a high enough number for you...i am not trying to come off like i know it all i dont..i am getting alittle tired of being put down cuz i have to get someone to build me a loud system...all i get is smack everytime i right on this forum...i sit here and congrat the ones that do well and give all props to the really great pros they have on here..
SBJL you did a great thinkg by placing 3rd...congrats to you..i know i will win the local curcit in my class i have a awesome person who is going to really help me get loud and the install is free...so my friend who i trust to help me will get all his props from and ill brag on him for help me...i will thank him everytime i win...

I have nobody around me. Except for these peps on the forum that are awesome enough to help out if you just ask. I'm not part of a team. But if you STFU and stop with the BS there are tons of people on here that would have no problem giving you a load of advise. Hell I started out this year doing a 141 and now I'm up to a 157 and it all caem from a lot of hours in the REX and a lot of advise from several people on here that where awesome enough to help out. I don't see how being on a team helps. You can't make a winning system over the phone. Best anyone can do is guide someone, it is up to that person to make it happen.
My opinion it seems you have @ 100 team mates here on the forum willing to teach you anything you want to know. Just don't head down the quad path. Actually have your system in and at least have it metered before handing out challenges.
