Yes, that is exactly what I am telling you, see here we go again you making stuff up in your head saying what you think are the rules, rather than actually looking in the rule book to see what it actually says. So here ya go Jeff, sorry I can't quote from the rule book, but it's kind of hard to quote something that isn't there. But since you haven't looked I will tell you. It doesn't say anywhere in the rule that you have to have a drivers license to compete, yes it does say the vehicle must be driven through the judging line in an orderly fashion and under its own power and must be capable of entering and exiting the judging area under its own power but no where does it say that it must be done by the actual competitor himself, or that the actual competitor must have a license. So there you go, Yes, I am telling you that the person operating and competing in the car does not have to be the one driving in and out of the lanes or even have a license for that matter, heck, I know of several people of age that don't have a license for whatever legal reason, but still compete. This is kind of like stock car racing, the rules of that sport don't require a racer to have a driver's license just like the rules of usaci don't either, so sometimes you have 12 year olds or other people without a license in that sport as well. So if need be Rowland or whoever can drive it and out of the lanes, and the 12 year old can compete with it. Once again if you read the rules in the rule book you would actually know this rather than posting what you think the rules are in your head. Lots of people need to read the rule book to see whats actually in there these days, kinda like the dynamat thing before finals, everyone said you can only have 2 layers, and I built mine according to the book and put 7 layers on, even the HBIC said only 2 layers, but after referring him to the rule book he saw I was right, and as long as my panels fit back in and look stock it is ok to have as many as you want. |

what does being street legal have to do with pushing a button, maybe you missed where i said the rulebook says nothing about the compeitioe himself has to drive the vehicle, just where it says it must be driven, but by who, it doesnt say so are you saying father son teams aren't allowed to compete in the son's name if he is too young, what about people who are of age with no license? i know at least 3 of those people, are they no longer allowed to compete? nope because the rules say nothing about a person needing a license or having to be old enough to drive the car. |

| thats on the individual with the knowledge of the situation to bring it up to usaci, and if you aint got the balls then whyn even say anything in the first place.
I knew this would be a sensatve subject to speak out on but its the right thing to do you see I dont have an issue saying anything because personally I dont care if you like me or not so I have no remourse at all. I think you on the other hand value peoples opinions of you wich means you are reluctant to say anythng. (coward)

I think you on the other hand value peoples opinions of you wich means you are reluctant to say anythng. (coward) ok so you have a strong opinion, but it doesnt matter because you have yet to show us where it says anything in the rulebook that requires a competitor to have a license, so you know what, if it doesnt say they need one, then they don't need one, yes you said a vehicle needs to be street legal, well having a license has nothing to do with a vehilcle being street legal, and the rules do not require a competitor to drive his vehilce either, yes the rules say the vehilce must be able to propel itself and move under its own power, but they do not say it must be done by a person with a license, or even by the competitor himself. so if this 12 year old wants to comepete there is nothing in the rules saying he can't, and if he has his dad drive his vehicle that is ok too. so keep getting upset and trying to force your opinion of the rules on others, but why don't you actually show us something in writing in the rule book that either says you must be a minimum age to compete, or that you must have a license, until you can show us where it says that, which it does not, your arguments are invalid |

| I would say you need as many competitors as possible, espicially in trunk, maybe then you guys can get more then 2 per class to show at finals.
On a side note, I dont think im gonna make it...not 100% but we have alot going on with closing on a house/move. Meg has plans that day, and I have to work in the morning. I will give a call when I get off work to see whats still going on out there

| nope, have to many plans for the next year. So im out of the lanes, just want to support and help friends in any way I can.
I have already moved most stuff out of my garage, even gave away the box we have used for years. As much as I love this hobby, I cant put my money into it any more.
Meg has lots of stuff for me to get working on in the house we just bought, then its back to working on the CRX. Hope to have it up and running again by late spring/early summer next year
