Opinions on 8's

i currently have two Image Dynamics 12's in a down fire box in my 09 gmc daily driver, they sound really good but that's never enough lol. After looking through the crazy eight threads i was wondering if 4 front firing 8's would sound better than the down fire 12's. I cannot fit 10's facing forward either, its two down fire 12's or the four eights. could i get some opinions from people that have actually had eights thanks

Daily playing , what id's idq's , id's , or idmax
on a seal or ported box.
and you would like to swtich to id'8 or don't matter .

idq's in a sealed box. i was barely able to get them in there. there is very limited room under the seat. i would prolly go with DD if i use eights.

although the 12s have more cone area, if you can get 8s in there with the proper box and power, I can see it being louder and give you more of a punchy bass. Worth a shot right?

the DD 1508 are pretty badass.. i think the last 2 i did ended up in about 1.5 ported and slammed... very impressed

id go with 8's way more impressive when ya show people them 4 little 8s banging

idq's o a seal box will give you a very nice and smooth respond and they can still get very loud and maintain they natural sound and probably that is your problem . you might want a more bassy respond like a ported box.
you mention that you lack of room ,even had problems with the idq's verily fitting , so a ported box with eights might work or even the idq's if you can make a ported box for them.
i would still prefer the idq's in a seal box for better result of bass respond , but that's just me
