I am gettin 2 12 alpine type R's( are those any good?) i have heard little of them, but my friend has type S's and they are aight, i figured type r's would be better. any thoughts?

Type Rs are decent subs. Will take close to 1000 watts, like ported boxes. With the recent redesign, they are basically stripped down Type X subs.

we have a guy with a explorer with 4 15s in a huge box tuned way low doing 53s at like 32hrz its street nasty
