| I just bought a kinetik for my truck. i have an 08 sierra extended cab with 2 15" ma hk series subs and 2 ma hk1800 amps. I run 1/0 from factory battery back to the kinetik and from there to the amps. my voltage still drops quick just like it did before. i grounded the battery to the body.. Does it need to be graounded to the frame and if so how would that easily be accomplished??? Thanks in advance | |

| with those 2 amps you shouldnt be getting that big of a voltage drop, check your grounds after you have played it for awhile.if they are warm you need better grounds. | |

| if those are the hk 401sx amps you will need bare min of 1 batteries per amp those are some power hogs. i had 2 yellow tops on one and was still dropping to about 10 volts, but i was wired down to .5 ohms | |

| like i said earlier .. my truck requires 5 batteries and 2 alternators for my application .. I use highvoltage amps instead of highcurrent amps .. same principal though ... also your ground wire should be larger than your power wire ... try 2/0 for grounds ... | |

| I have an 09 sierra and it came with 1 batt but there is another battery tray on the other side. I installed two 2400's. Put your factory battery on the other side for the time being. | |

| starting with the ground is a good idea. Are you sure of the wiring? The imp the amps are seeing? When you do have the money replacing the front battery will help, big 3 upgrade will help, and obviously lastly more batts and alt power, just curious why not get the 2400 over the 2000? | |

| Ya... i just ordered a 50' roll of stinger 1/0 then im going to do the big 3. i checked the wires at the amps, at the kinetik, and at my battery and was getting the same voltage with the stereo off and with it bumping so i assume that means all the wiing is legit and since its not getting hot..... I might try to get the 2400 and replace the factory batt with it for now | |
