Rob dont run stock.. night and day difference.. i bet Hes not blowing MT because of power..i have guys daily driving MT with more thant 4100 per woofer..
Rob, whats happening to your woofer ? are you burining them? or poping the lead where it runs up the coil? or mechanically?

and thats exactly what im saying .. this is a mod build.. id prefer HW/APX in a stock build as well.

Biggest problem is coils sliding on former. Burnt 1 coil. I could get into the HW's with more power more often. These I have to wait 10 minutes between burps

this is where i was actually going with my comments as well the
H.W. has far more superior cooling on the subs.

I can burp 5 consecutive times on mine with no issues at all.

I wasnt trying to bash on the MT'S but like I said I have used them in the past as well.

I bet the bottom woofer is the one blowing.

I used RD baby.... Gained over the MT's like a full DB just switching them out ... As for mod hell i would still think the RD's would hold better .... Not sure how the ports in Mod would affect all that though i would imagine it would be a different animal fo sho

try putting your driver's door in differant spots.

where are you getting your recones?

like i said , i would forsure use RD in a stock build..and never once said either was better than the other. just that the fact hes using MT over RD isnt the problem , if all he has is 4100 per woofer.. but , rob how come you got rid of the HW instead of just reconing them to 18s if they were much better?

RD? never heard of them

since usamps have bought out re they have switched their coils to a cheaper coil that the paper peals off the former and the guy building the recones isnt a woofer builder and you can usually tell by the glue job. thats the main problem i had with the mts(and i dont like some of the people there).the rds arent any better in a mod setup. the mts are a better choice if you get rid of your loading issue. thats why they are peeling off the forner. the rds are much better in the small boxes at high notes, no question.

Come on guys this ain't about MT's VS RD's.

My problem is trying to get the box right and imp right. I don't have enough Imp rise for what I need to do so My boy Greg is sending me a higher imp recone.

All and all RE and those folks over there have taken good care of me

How do you know what I am? Just FYI I am a woofer builder, Before coming to US Amps I worked for a shop in Overland Park KS. As a certified Bose and JBL reconer. Your personal issues with me are just that! Your issues that you never got your recones. If we are airing out some laundry lets get it totally clean. My bosses told me that before I could send you recones you had to supply pictures for us to use on our website. Everytime you called I asked where are those pictures. Your response was "My sister has my camera I will get the pictures to you next week."

Simple question. Are the current coils the same manufacture as before? And rob.. Read my post I never said anything more than rd won't fix your issue. AND mr steve..you can do thesame!
