| So today we pulled out the P1 10's and put in the P2's 16 P2 10's ready to be placed in the vehicle the P1's have been removed and I am left with this honeycomb contraption Distro blocks used to seperate speaker wires to each amp, we added 4 more blocks to these 4 which gives 2 per amp (1 pos, 1 neg) each 10 guage wire from the distro to the speaker is 3 feet long (sine wave length P1 on the right P2 on the left, I get double stacked magnets, dual voice coils and a bigger surround with the P2's To get the P2's to fit in the box we had to do a little trimming. It's snowing sawdust someone grab the sled To get the bottom 5 subs to fit we have to cut the sides of the baskets. I hope these subs work because I believe this voids the warranty, lol and here is the wall with the P2's installed, next week while I am at Carowinds the amps get installed along with the new batts Here is an old pic with the P1's, The P2's speaker connectors are on the sides of the basket so we were able to install the subs with the logo's all facing the same direction unlike the P1's which we had to install the bottom 2 rows crooked | |

| Hell I hope so, next week the 4 Kicker XS100's will be in with the new Kinetiks, I would like a 3db gain but realistically I am hoping for at least a 2db gain, fingers crossed. | |

| Yea I already know I would be louder ported but I personally prefer a sealed enclosure and I didn't want to compromise what I prefer to listen to for a meter that I would see probanly 4 times a year. Everyone who has sat in the car has been very impressed with the way it performs sealed, I got lots of compliments at finals so that was cool but now my primary goal is Street Q. I figure I took first in DBDRAG's Psychlone class at finals and I want to try to do that with Street Q so with the new subs and double the amps I can gain a little more SPL to help out with that portion of Street Q. | |

| First off Jeff didn't you retire? Just kidding I appreciate the input but I am just trying to get her a little louder with what I have to work with. Living in the home town of FI audio I keep hearing from everyone to build a ported wall and I would be so much louder and I was almost talked into running 4 FI BL 18's in a ported wall using the four amps but I decided this is the way that would be better for my needs.

Dave I appreciate that coming from you since you have been in so many good sounding vehicles. Maybe this year at finals your camera will be charged and the car can be in one of your infamous videos.

| Well the amp rack is finished, 4 12 year old Kicker XS100's pushing 16 Rockford 10's. Can't wait till I get it on the meter Sunday to see how much I gained but it really hurts now so hopefully good results. | |

| Thanx, unfortunately I gots major issues with the system, I figured 3 Kinetik HC2400's and 1 Kinetik HC1400 under the hood would be enough for the 4 class A/B Kicker XS100's but tis not the case a couple of notes and them batts are drained (maybe should have looked into the XS batts when they were calling me) also I think one of the XS100's I recently bought is bad the board looks like it had caught fire and there are like 10 new fets on it plus it looks like burn holes right through the board. Guess I'll have to send the amp in to Kicker and find how how much to get it fixed, oh well living in Vegas you gotta take a gamble and sometimes you end up losing. At our test n tune last night I was able to squeak out a 151.6 so this has been an expensive undertaking to gain 1 db. Anyone interested in buying a Mazda with a piss poor charging system and a mediocer stereo system? lol | |

Did a 151.6 so its a little improvement just need to work on it a little more to get that 152.0

| That's alot of windshield flex and cone area. I really like the idea of monster cone area with all the positives of a sealed setup (simplicity and "flat" response). Hopefully the amp issue is fixable, and will squeak out another dB.
If you get time, consider the possibility of where and how you'd run swappable port(s). They aren't terribly challenging to do, and it adds a major degree of freedom to your tuning. I've been running an external port setup, with hot-swappable ports, and it's really convenient to swap between daily and competition modes in 5 minutes. It'll take time to get the right placement and tuning, but the gain should be well worth the effort.

Everyone always says the same thing "port, port, port" but I am really happy how this box is working out, right now I'm just concentrating on Street Q for the 2010 season gonna try to get that world title at finals (fingers crossed). We have a couple of ideas we want to try inside the enclosure for Heatwave in July maybe get that 152 sealed and if I decide to compete in 2011 then the wall will probably come out in favor of 4 FI BL 18's...ported, gotta support the local company you know
