| What do you recommend for 16v daily?
I have a DD Z2Hv and will be running it in a demo van. I have access to a pair of Batcap 8400's, would they be ok for daily/demo?
Likely their will be a few 4ch amps also.
Voltage regulators? | |

| just put a 3 post kinetik under the hood and the 12v stuff is taken care of at that point. replace the stock alt with an adjustable regulator and charge the 16v side of the kinetik and the 16v batts in the back and your good. car runs off 12v side alt charges the 16v side which keeps the 12v side charged so thats 16v daily just as easy as 12v daily | |

| ive put thought into running 16volt daily, i would probably go the way rowland did run stock alt for car and accessories and 16volt for batts in the back. you can run your mid/highs amp off normal 12volts. | |

maybe the same as a kinetik 1400. but its more then enough to run most vehicles. didn't have any trouble starting the 4.3 in my s10. if you made the bank in back outta the kinetik 3 posts as well as one under the hood you can combine the 12v side to run your mid and tweet amps if you wanted as well as the vehicle. the single one under the hood might be enough for your mid and tweet amps kinda jsut depends on how big the amp is. now as far as a reliability standpoint. 12v might be the smarter choice for the entire system as 16v creates more heat and more strain on the amp. but if you just want 16v daily to say hey i got 16v daily then there is how I'd do it.

| 1 kinetik's 3 post will start about anything but I tied the one under the hood to the bank in the back of my s10. I have two alternators charging my 16v side and a stock on the 12v. The stock on the 12v seemed to keep head lights brighter. 16v daily isn't bad at all. | |

| Well, I talked to Kinetik and Ohio Gen today.
Looks like I'm ordering 7 HC16V 3post batts and a 300a Ohio Gen alt w/ ext reg. I'll beef it up more when I add more power.
