| USACI Introduces “Trunk” and “Dealer Select” Classes for 2009
Lowell, AR 01/15/2008 Trunk Class.... In an effort to reach street level consumers and grow sales for their retailers USACI has developed a new “Trunk” class that will cater to the average consumer who may not normally compete. This class incorporates USACI’s already popular Outlaw SPL Rules in such a way as to allow competitors with “daily drivers” and systems in their trunks to have a place to play, compete, and grow their systems. “We designed this class to grow the average consumers interest in car audio” Stated USACI President Ralph Randall.
Dealer Select.... USACI “Dealer Select" classes provide the local competitors the classes that fit for them. “Dealer Select” will be comprised of two classes to be custom designed by the shop hosting the event. The classes will be different at every event and will be custom tailored to the needs of the local customers as seen by the hosting retailer. The host can limit the class to Local Only or even to his own customers. Options will include power classes, woofer classes, music only or tones only classes. By catering to the needs of the Local shops USACI will continue to provide the 12 volt industry with an exceptional cost effective way to promote industry growth and retail sales.

Scoring is one of the choices. 30 sec, burp, music, tones, whatever choice the retailer selects. The classes will be listed as Select A and Select B. The results will be posted with the rest of the results on the USACI web site.

| Thats a great idea. One thing though, if the select classes will change at each show, then will these classes be offered at Finals, and if so, how will the classes be run at Finals if people are competing all season to various sets of rules. | |

| These classes will be offered at finals in the same way they are offered at local shows. At Finals they will be open to LOCALS ONLY and the format will be decided later. | |

| so if i read this correct. this is a national class for competitors that can only live within a certain amount of miles from the host show. so if the shop is farther than 75 miles away we can not compete but some how this is going to be a national class.. im so confused. | |

| Since a trunk record was set, what is the record in trunk class based on? Can a local from different states compete in local class at finals? | |

| lol and the confusion continues.. so you can only compete in a local class if you are from around the show but yet you need points to compete in the class so there for you have to have alot of shows around you to get the points necessary compete at finals
im sorry but that makes no damn sense.

| One last attempt.......
Trunk Class IS the same as STOCK EXCEPT everything MUST BE in the TRUNK.....
DEALER SELECT will be different at EVERY SHOW. This class can be LOCAL ONLY, PRO ONLY, TRUNK ONLY, HONDA ONLY, GO CART ONLY, or whatever the retailer asks for!
At finals it will be OPEN to AYONE and the format will be selected from the hundreds of different ones I am sure we will see this year.
If the class is open to you and you compete in at at any event you will get points. All "DEALER SELECT" results are tracked under the generic names
LOCAL CLASS A OPEN LOCAL CLASS B OPEN
Once again, may not be local, may be exhaust system contest, may be boats class. All depends on the dealers choice.
