| What about USACI following it's own written rules about amp testing specifcally being tested at the USACI OFFICE and what about enforcing the rules at local and national show's NOT JUST AT FINALS!!!! This way no one get's DQ'd at Finals and we have the same crap all over again!!!! And what about a SB separate from new people???? Or a time limit that youre allowed to stay in a rookie class???? Sorry just things that are bugging me tonight!!!LOL | |

As of now it's magic Mike and so loud it hertz. Any cd that has been burned with a long note is also banned. At local shows these song are easy recognizible. To be on the safe side, just let competitors play regular music cd's.

| Eliminating 'hybrid' batts in any consumer class would eliminate possibility for any intentions to be misconstrued.
An idea of what is being considered (if anything) on people inside the cars at finals would be nice. Is this all rumors or is a change a possibility?
Can the committee also looking into Darville's alleged use of the big white van for chimo purposes. Never mind, we don't want to know the truth there.
(I couldn't make a completely serious post, now could I?)

| Hi Bill, the manned or unmanned question....It looks as though the rule will in fact change. During this next weeks events we'll be asking members their opinion on this so we can present it to the rules and ethics board.
The general consensus from my area is overwhelmingly for unmanned. We are also looking into the design of a fixture that will properly secure the globe while unmanned.

| so let me see if i read this right, you want usaci to test amps in there own office, where they themselves have said they do not have the proper equipment to test and where they can not get accurate or consistant results, thus the reason they dont do it anymore? - justbump'n wrote:

If they dont have the equipment cant they purchase it??? I mean we do PAY DUES dont we to be apart of this sport?

| I think the mic monkey issue is getting out of hand for no reason. In all the runs on the video that was posted, the passenger arms was on the dash or at the glass. USACI made that rule for a reason and we should leave it like that. | |

What people do with there hands before they put them up on the dash! A competitor should NEVER touch the mic at ANY time IMO.. That leaves NO room for any BS!

| Again please keep this post clean. Discuss in another thread. I would like to see this stay as just a place to post what you would like the comitee to discuss. We don't want to have to wade through 14 pages of bs to find out what needs to be discussed. | |

| Okay, here is the start of World War 3. The idea of a mic monkey entering all the vehicles in a competition is stupid beyond comprehension. I would no more subject someone to that torture than I would ... well, let's not go there. In a 50 car event, each competitor being allowed 2 - 30 second runs, that poor guy has been exposed to that pressure 100 times! We can discuss earmuffs etc., but the botom line, I will not allow any mic judge that's helping me, sit in 50 SPL vehicles ... or even one for that matter.
On the other hand, I will allow a competitor's buddy to sit in the car with him during the run and I do provide hearing protection for both occupants. But if cheating is an issue for the majority of competitors, then I offer that the whole "mic monkey body mass" be done away with altogether. You guys that are really into the "taking up space" thing can bring your inflatable dolls.
