atomic 15's re 15's dd 15's kicker 15's rockford 15's/18's soundstream spl160 15's
these are by far the best subs I have ever owned hands down. not even running 1/3 the power they can handle and so far the best in my class. Looking for 18. you choose the heavyweight over the atomic apx and apxx

| i didnt know solox 18s ever set any records? which records do they hold? 3 of the 4 mod records are mt18s and the other is treo. l5s and l7s hold some stock records. dd and rds are most of the prostock and i think 1 is mts. i think re mts hold more records than any other in usaci, drag, or iasca. | |

| your crazy jeff! i ran the same mts 2yrs including bass race and didnt lose a single sub until i did bass race at steves 300th with 12 pd 2000s instead of 6. i only reconed to change imp. because of going from drag to usaci. only time you lose an mt is because you cant build 1 correctly or you clipped the shit out of it and stupidity isnt covered under warranty, lol. | |

We've had MTs and Atomics. In a head to head test in one of our vehicles, the APXs were over a db louder to our surprise.

| We had MTs when they first came out in 03-04 way before the were bought by U.S. Amps. This was in my team mates Caravan. 2 15s walled I think ina 20^3 box with 8 VFL 150.1s. Make sure your reliable source has played with the exact subs that he is compairing. | |

| WARNING: If you don't have the power to push the MTs then it will be a waste of money to get them and you won't get the maximum dbs out of them. You're probably better off going with the XXXs. | |

| exactly how much power do you need for an mt nice? i ran 6-15s off of 2 pd2000.1s and did 161.2 legal! it doesnt take a ton of power, just a good design. now what you do have to be careful of is buying cheap woofers that bottom out with to much power. funny thing about the apxs(which i ran 6-15s also and only did a 162.9 with 24 dei 1100ds) they break down quickly and score drops off because of a weak suspension. mts wont do that. | |

Mr. Estes, do you think you would have been louder with more power although you didn't need it? I had MT 18s and they wear out after awhile. You competed in both major organizations. In the other organization, I've seen Bob and Rooney put 16k to each MT. I'm sorry I had to mention the other organization (some people get visibly ill whenever they hear that other name). Like you, they are also excellent builders.

| you think he wouldve touched that van legal? hell no! crxs gain huge in the kick! i'd pay to see his set up brak a 163 legal! wont happen! bruce and kicker are the shit in stock and outlaw, but those subs will explode if you try to hang with mts in mod or legal! and nice, yes i did gain with more power on the mts, but not on the apxs. thats why you never seen rooney or bob run the apx, they top out fairly easily. | |

| apx is a good sub, wont knock it, just personnaly think an mt is better in 90% of applications with the bigger(15s or 18s)subs. if your talking 10s or 12s, apx will win. mts were never intended to be that small of a sub, they just kinda made them, lol. | |

I think McCool is just proud of his brand new, nothing to pull anything away from records. Lord rest is soul, but Greg Welch set many records with the Solo X 18's through many years, but since then, nobody with as much skill as he had could get them to the level he has. No dis-respect to anyone, carry on with the debate |
