| I've got the 15's. Just curious of any opinions on MA's line of amps. I'm on a slight budget so the HK4000 and 10K are no go's. Will 2 HK2000D's push those subs much? Cause I had 1 DB pd2000 before and it didn't have enough juice to do anything destructive with the subs. I want to be LOUD.. | |

| the MA amps love to eat batteries. i would honestly tell you to hold off and make sure that you have enough battery to go with a bigger amp so when you are ready to "cause distruction" you dont smoke your amp in the 1st 10 min due to low voltage. | |

i agree ma amps love to eat batteries. also ma audio loves 17 volts that is where they really start coming to life.

yeah that is what i am affraid of. i am not sure i'll have enough juice to keep my it up there. i know one thing going from a 12v to 16v setup on the 4400 bumped me up 3 db. i was dropping to 8v as soon as i burped it to 11.4v on the 16v at first burp.

We are running an 802SX as well. Our set up was droppping to 11V very quickly on burps at only a 1 ohm load with six batteries. They are really hungry but do put out a ton of power.

never had any trouble at .5 on any of the high current series. i know that on the class d series unless you mod them most of them were not able to go below 2 ohms without hitting the overload. i have been running ma audio high current series since about 05 and have had probally 10 of there amps and probally 20 subs. never had any problems.

Let me know how that 0 ohm load works out for ya??? well i have completly decided on that yet, if i do i need some more subs. my thinking is go big or go home. if i burn an amp it won't be the first. i know people that use to run the old school autoteks down to .25 ohm all the time yes the burned many of them but they accomplished what they wanted. this is my thinking if i burn the amp, but take 1st why not.

| We're only looking at running about .5 ohms. So hopefully everything will cooperate. | |

| yeah I didn't think that was possible either. Um I'd say let's try and blow some stuff up right? I don't even understand why you'd wanna put your amp through that kind of stress. I mean .25 is prolly hard enough. Half of that and then half of that? Good luck with the warranty on that amp.
Well I ordered my 2 HK2000d's, a 200 amp alt, and some more 0 gauge wiring for a dual run to the back. So I'll update when I get it all in. I just hope to see a 150. My Db had me around 147 on my audiocontrol mic.

it's already out of warrenty. you know i look at it this way i have dumped so much money into getting loud since i started back in 96, and i have smoked amps, seperated voicecoils, and burnt voicecoils why not try it.
