| My friend and I both have a 96 Impala SS. He has two 13w7 in the back and I would like to top his set up. So these are the two speakers I am looking at Cerwin Vega stroker pro 15's or two MTX 9500 15's .Will they out due a JL 13w7 in SPL? I know everyone has the brand they like but out of these two which will do the trick? | |

| i have had both in my truck. Same power the L7 out did the W7 by more that 3 dbs in the same box. Don't get me wrong i like the w7, but the L7's are louder in my application. | |

| the w7 in my experience is a sub made for sound quality... any of the above subs mentioned should be louder due to the fact they are made to be loud not to sound good(not saying they don't sound good though)... if i were you i would have a professional build you a box and get the same setup... the box can make a huge difference... nothing better than being louder than sombody who has the same set up... lol | |

| i went to a comp last year and went against a kid with two l7 13" in a civic "stationwagon" body style. i went with two ten inch DD 3500's and beat him. i beat him by one tenth but its nice to say that tens beat thirteens, right. | |

| Yeah I had a guy at this one show with some 15s in a wall in a old school OJ simpson Bronco running in mod dont remeber what class but I beat him with 2 12s in a sedan that I thought was funny cause he had been picking on me all day about trying to beat him with 2 12s. He rerun 3 or 4 times trying to catch me but couldnt. Than he wouldnt even shake my hand afterwards when I left with his trophie...LOL | |
