Joint Finals a success. USACI numbers down due to very remote (from USACI) location but better than expected. Results posted on web site.

All the down south guys complained for years saying if we brought finals down there how big it would be and look, dallas, tulsa, shreveport, sigh.

Now I will admit it isn't entirely there fualt it was shitty, there are a lot of other factors for each year and location, but even looking at those factors I would have thought there would have been more people each year.

One thing I can say, when it was in shreveport x2, tulsa, and dallas how many people from within say 20 miles of those towns actually competed in a national class at finals? I know danny hayes in shreveport, but how many from the other towns? Maybe a couple each year.

At least when it was in Omaha and how everyone said that was bad we had 22 competitors (that i know of looking back at the results, probbaly more) from within 20-30 miles from here. KC was even more with l&c plus the others from that area.

Nope. Just tired of rumors, becoming fact, becoming the end of the world, etc........ I mentioned it to get input. What I got for the most part was negativety reinforcement forthe effort. I want input, not whining and crying before a decision is made. If that offends anyone then those offfended are most likely the ones doing the negative posts.

It was an idea, not an excuse to announce the end of competition as we know it.

Who said it was fact? Perhaps what you see as whining is people giving you thier input? Its your choice how you read it and what you do with it.

^^^^^exactly. it wasnt like u posted in hre or on the usaci fb page saying what do u competitors think of a satellite location? or something like that. but u say might be satellite in tyler just on your fb page so how is that getting input? like i said i really didnt mean to \"Female dog\" it was just kind of a slap in the face to not get our input on it which i guess u were trying to do it just did not come off that way!! see how it looks from our view? and like alan said its not whining its us voicing our opinion and we are against it. maybe some are for it but they sure didnt come out to support it. just my .02 on the situation.

I do not agree with a remote finals location. Finals should be in the same place to ensure a level playing field.

Sometimes things that effect shows are heat/temperature, elevation, humididty etc. It's one thing if the judges were all actually on the same page, but uncontrollable things like weather are a factor.

I know some of you are probably thinking well weather/elevation shouldn't affect the TL like Wayne says it won't. Well how many time have you gone to a hot/humid show and your score goes down, then go home that night when it's cool and your score may be back.

Sure it may only be a tenth, or maybe two, but in 2006 I held a lead on .1 after the first day before reruns, 07 I won by .1, 08 by .2, and 10 by .1 on a rerun. So to say it doesn't matter, well I don't buy that. Looking at that time of year on average highs are 15 degrees differance. If the heat continues you could be looking at 85 and dry in Tx and 55 and humid if it's rainy in Indy. Tenths do make a differance.

Now I don't care if finals is in Indy, Tyler, Omaha, Dallas, KC, Shreveport, Tulsa, AR I will try to be there.

Now if there are two locations I will go to the one that I think most of closest competition will be at to make sure we are on a level playing field and we both get a fair and equal judging. Even if that does mean driving 3 hours further like it would in this case.

There hopefully that isn't whinning or complaining but perhaps an explanation of why others may or may not be upset.

From one standpoint I would love to have finals in Tyler(why would I not I live here) But I also plan to compete in one of the other orgs finals in Indy so I have no choice but to go up there. And I agree with the guys that compete SPL I cannot see how the differences in locations wouldnt play a factor in their scores.

Not to mention the SQ side of things, I don't compete SQ, but I wouldn't like the fact that two differant sets of ears would be judging cars in the same class.

most of you guys arent putting it all out there about how you feel about this so you know me ill do it.

Ralph the guys up north and out east are pissed off because now we want to have a remote location because of all the babies that live in Texas that wont make the trip to INDY because theya re used to being catored to.

i mean we all know that the majority of the competitors are on the "south coast", but know we wanna propose a satelite area for them when we never had that option and well alot of people dont agree with that at all.

I can see both sides as a competitor that had traveled since the last time in kc to when i retired well i did it because it got me out the house, and i loved to beatr the Dung Pile out of people in the lanes period so i had no issue driving for that.

on the other hand this aint 2006 anymore money is tight, and well people have still done what was needed to make it to finals. now we move it to INDY and we want to have a satelite location for the guys in the south well favortism sux ass

I think the joint finals is awesome. All 3 orgs should compromise and come up with a class that we all can play in. "Best of the best" world champion .street beat bass boxing and bass racers. All together. Stock burp class and mod burp class. With our numbers declining every year it would be a easy way to bring some competitive spirit back to the sport

all i know, is last year at finals, a world record was set in a rediculis way. the b and k mic that cant average was used to do a streetbeat world record. the guy hit almost 10 db higher than his outlaw score, and some judeg came up with that number with a calculator. what is that? then the guy says that he always hits those numbers sealed up. if this kinda Dung Pile can happen in one location, who knows what would happen at multiple locations.

the guy im talking about knows who he is. he has yet to match that number on a termlab, because he knows as well as i do that he cant do it and never will. but the record still stands. he didnt even have to back it. just ran one run. what ever happened to backing world records. i know i had to run 2 runs for my world record. why didnt he?

i could only imagine the Cow poopy rule bending favoritism that usaci is plagued with would only multiply at 2 locations.

Kinda messed up that you cry \"Female dog\" about rules. I thought sb4 was a consumer class.

You set a sb4 record within a year of opening a shop and continued to run sb4. If anyone's integrity is to be checked I would say its yours. From now on if you have a problem with me I'm only a phone call away. I pm'ed it to you.

Not trying to hug allens nuts or anything but he is the last one to cheat in anything. He has never ran sb4 when he has owned a shop. So don't know where u get that crap from and come on man u know damn well ur truck will never do a 164 on the bk mike. That judge was a joke when he calculated numbers on his phone and no one else saw anything.
