| Hey Fish, Alan, Huff, Kenny, or anyone else in the know, I'm thinking bout having a daily setup, and a spl setup and wondering if I get these DC level 5's from Huff & then get some RD Alphas, which would be your recommended subs for competition. I'll get into the more difficult comp questions later. That's not a dumb question is it? Hell, idk. | |

| Alphas abd lvl5 are much different from each other. The lvl5 is alot more woofer. If they fit your budget and you think youll like them, then go with them. Unless your going to build 2 enclosures then switching woofers for comps isnt going to do much. Yoi should see 150+ from 2 15s and a d9 @.5ohm with a 35hz tuned music enclosure. Low 50s dont sound great compared to what our SPL setups do. But my box that does 54s off a d9 dont even think about playing music | |

| I didnt think spl setups would have better sound quality, because of being tuned in the 50-70hz range. How do they sound when trying to produce low bass in the 20hz range? | |

| They dont.. thats what im saying. You would need two completely different enclosures. I read it as if you planned to use the same box and just swap woofers for spl | |
