| If Chris is really dealing with power compression... a "Thor's Hammer" box would give the woofers a little more room to breathe. I'm not experienced enough to say it would gain, but it would probably decrease the effects of impedance rise and better utilize the high-end power that's getting bottlenecked right now.
Chris, I feel sure that you've attempted this style before, and ruled it out. How did it perform in the Civic?

Chris, I feel sure that you've attempted this style before, and ruled it out. How did it perform in the Civic? I did a similar setup. He has those big 10's so he had room for that port. Damn nice build! . I only got 156+ with that setup.

| Looks good, tight fight too. Also looks like you'd have some room to slide it back some to do some tweaking if needed.. | |

| I like this setup. Especially the radiused corners. It should flow nicely and give the woofers an appropriate amount of air space (even at high power)
The trunk looks like you could fit 4 d9's and a couple batteries back there (with room to spare!). Tasty.
It looks like ~2 cf/woofer. What have you found to be the optimal box size (internal volume) for HW's? Also, any reason not to double baffle since you have room?

| Very nice indeed. Are you going to do anything with the port wall as far as round overs, pvc or anything? Just curious. | |

| Uh oh on the sub.....
I've really wanted to try a box like this, but wouldn't know where to begin with my vehicle's low res freq.

How did you determine this? It looks mid 50's to me.

| Nope, sealed boxes out the ying yang, plus from another guy who has experience with them. They vary from 44 to 47ish. Mine seems to be loudest at 42, but that's my current setup at a clamped 2230 watts on two SA12's in 5.5cubes. Averaging (now) 49.7
But the one I'm working on now is tuned a lot higher and on lower power has yielded potentially better numbers.
So I guess the 47 isn't far off from the 50

| The note of the car is going to change with pressure... legal to outlaw..etc. I wouldn't focus on those notes. Build it and let it play what the setup wants. I doubt its going to be mid 40s | |

| ^^^That's probably one of the reasons why I haven't built one tuned so high as I was worried about fail. I'm going to have to reconsider and just do it and hope for the best. | |
