| What are some successfully single sub setups, in recent memory? If they are Street Beat, even better!
I know Skip01 did some 12" testing, TommyK got some crazy numbers in his singlecab, and Jacob at Sundown did some 15" blasting.
I ask this because of the rules. We have the flexibility to use lots of different sub sizes, but few people are using single sub setups (or 8's for that matter). I understand that 2 8's cost more than a 10, and you can't push the same power through them. Plus, motor strength maximization is important, within the limitations of electrical.

| Yes, I most definitely shat myself on that one. 3" of peak-peak excursion will do that to most anyone.
I was talking about 1-12" in SB1, or 1-15" in SB2, 1-18" in SB3... If that had been a 12, you'd have 50% more cone air movement and atleast another dB.

That must be one of your homemade aeros. Nice score for a single-sub trunk build! - bojangles wrote:

Beastly. That's not too far from off of your 4 sub record. Do you guys find that tuning, loading, and alignment were easier or more difficult with a single sub? Seems like it would be simpler... but SPL rarely is logical.

| I only ran one sub at that time cause my other subs were blown. I used the same box and just blocked off the rest of the holes. | |

| 157 from 1-10"????
Which sub was that? 13kW is enough to melt/launch just about any sub on the market. APX / HW, SoloX, etc can't handle it for more than a few seconds.
