is anyone else having trouble contacting amp repair center?

I talked to them a few times threw Email before I shipped my amp off (power bd1000.1) but now my confirmation number say my amp was delivered about a week ago and I cant seem to get a reply to my emails or voice messages Ive been leaving I figured the snow had something to do with it but It would be nice if they could at least confirm that they received the amp

I tried calling a bunch of times last week and e-mailed him, never got a reply from him. Heard he's reasonable on the work he does, but I think I may give up on him and send mine to db-r. Know that doesn't help ya but good luck.

yeah I've heard allot of good about him too he gave me a reasonable quote to replace the power supply in both my rockford power bd1000.1 , and my audiobahn 1300htc

Got a friend in ok he's the guy who does warenty for dd and Audio que... he's real good and in exespensive. Call him 405-473-2783 ... just just tell him i gave you the number hell hook you up...

db-r is the way to go. I cant say enough abour chris. he is good, honest, and fairly quick.

Our experience with ARC was good at first. The last two amps we sent to them we got piss-poor communication for the 4 months they had them. I finally had them send them back to me unrepaired. I will never use them again.

im not dogging on dbr but a friend got am amp repaired from them it costed 350.00 and he got the same thing done faster for 225.00 with my guy...

Im gonna wait untill the snow storms clear before I get mad and start trippin but he had told ot would take take a week to fix it hes had it longer than that and not even a call to approve the repairs. ...........

I talked to him today and approved the repairs had a bad channel and 6 blown capacitors gonna run me $155 shipped back to my house

wow! I got use to the flat rate that Memphis was charging. I have never heard of a amp repair for $155 shipped.

The original qoute was lower but he found morr damage than he thought.

the amp made it back in this morning it sounds great!!! I'm running it at 1 ohm on 2 kicker cvr 15"s in a 6 cubic ft sealed box (my ported box wouldn't fit in this trunk) amp sound a ton clearer and louder than when I bought it used in November I will most definitely be pulling some more amps out of my junk pile and sending them in to ARC soon......took a little over a month but the the price and quality of work are unbeatable

The first couple of times we used them were great too....but then they seemed to have trouble "getting parts"...for four months. And couldn't pick up a phone to let us know. We had to keep calling and leaving messages until they finally answered to find out what was going on with our customer's amps.....Like I said, our store will never use them again.

I hooked the amp up yesterday sounded great went out bumping tonight after about 10 minutes the bass started cutting out I pulled over and popped the trunk the amp was cold to the touch but then started smoking then something inside it caught fire!!!!!! I scrambled to pulled the fuses out of my distribution block in the trunk .......no damage to my car or subs but I'm still pretty pissed

FIRE BAAAAD!!! Did it trip the fuses before it caught fire?

nope no fuses tripped I have a 100 amp fuse under the hood and in the trunk I had to stretch and reach behind my box to pull the trunk fuse to stop the fire.......the amp was cold to the touch rite before it caught fire......had never seen amp actually catch fire untill ths one ...smh


I opened the amp up and I see that he replace 8 input capacitors (little sqaures on the sides of circuit board) I could tell because they have different part number that the originals ....well 3 of his 8 caught fire!!!!!

wondering if it could be cheap parts or mix up and the wrong sized parts? cant wait to talk to to arc and see what the say

surprise surprise they wont answer the phone ....again...

gonna keep calling until they get tired of ignoring my calls!!!!! I also sent and Email with the details of what happened and a pic of the damage

Wonder if he replaced all the mosfets,or just replaced the burned fets?Hack repair?

yeah my qoute went from $225 with a list of parts he would replace to $450 with the same list of replaced parts when i got it back.oh also got it back with the white thermal paste all over the black heatsink

yeah mine had paste on it too still no answer or reply gonna send a certified letter I have 3 more amps that need simple repairs 2 mine and 1 for a customer but there is no way in hell I will deal with there B.S. again
