| reason I ask is because I bought dual 1ohm subs, but when I got them they were dual 1.4 ohm. I don't want to pay for something and get something else. If I order dual .5 ohms recones from rd, and they are dual .7 or dual .9 can I get my money back???? Im not rich so I can't aford to keep buying things and not getting what I paid for. Is there a better place (cheaper in price) for true dual .5 ohm recones???? Oh and what kind of price am I looking at for true recone kits for a 15" heavyweight?? | |

| You could always build recones yourself. Buy the cone, surround, spiders, and dust cap... then before assembling it, test the coils resistance. Of course, it's easier to get things misaligned this way, but you'll know the impedance with certainty.
I'd expect a standard deviation of 10% on some higher ohm coils (2 ohm being 1.8 ), and 20% on low ohm (0.5 being 0.6)... if you've got 40% error, I'd send it back and make them pay shipping. That's unacceptably out of spec and false advertising.
note: Dave should be able to build them for you, just keep your demands reasonable (don't expect to do 4000wRMS daily or anything), since he doesn't like to warranty that for noobs. Should be 100-120 + shipping, depending on how many goodies you get... but just send him a work request, and see what he says (usually gets back within 1-2 days) | |

| well not sure what Im asking now. I just want to be able to run a RD D5 on each sub at .25ohms, so I guess I need them to do at least 8000 watts and these are in a Comp vehicle, never played daily. So now what am I asking for, how do you ask for that??? Is there anything else I'm missing??? | |

| yes he can give you what you want just put in a work order either on his site or on caco he can build them to take really whatever you want as long as its reasonable and i dont see any problem redoing your rd's to take those d5's hell he is redoing my re sx 10's to take 1500 ea daily so he can improve it and your coils will read what they are suppose too! | |

| When you checked the coils did you subtract the .X for your meter leads? Most meter leads are .2 to .4. Set your meter to resistance and conect your leads together and subtract that from your reading. | |
