Street Q??? is this class going to happen?

just wonderig if this class was going to materialize? and are their clear cut rules on it yet? im very interested in it

It is the spl crossover class.

can i get a little more explanation of "spl crossover"? sounds kinda interesting...

basically street beat meets SQ...it's in the rules I'm pretty sure. Very simple listenting section with some SPL on a meter.

i may have to give this a try next season. sounds right up my alley.

Id like to see some definite rules on it..and not like streetbeat lol. And will it be an every event clas?

You get judged on SQ, just like any other SQ, with the exception of no installation score, just sound score, plus SPL. As of now, must also be entered in SPL class also.

Street Q as it is called on the scoresheet is the SAME AS INTRO SQ+. Same scores/judging. Very basic installation and small sound section with UNLIMITED SPL exactly like the INTRO class. The difference is that "Street Q" is an SPL "crossover" class MEANING that all those that enter it MUST ALSO be entered in some other outlaw or SPL class also.

Another thing to understand that INTRO is very limited to modifications in the front of the vehicle (ie...no kicks panels or custom pillars) WHERE AS in STREET Q this is acceptable. The class is designed to get "SPL" folks interested in SQ without a 400+ point scoresheet. Neither of these classes have ANY creativity or flash points awarded for anything cool in the install but rather just judge a few, basic safety aspects of the install with a little more focus on the actual sound (mainly tonal) with unlimited SPL "burps" to boot.

Unless I'm mistaken, if you enter a car with good install structure (fusing, equip. mounted, etc), don't have a fire-hazard, it sounds pretty good, and you do a 150+ dB....it will be hard to beat. There were only 3 entries at Finals so please enter.....make this class BIG next year.

So what type of scores took finals this year?

Well I'm wondering how people will feel about me having a body dropped truck in that class.. seeing as now I woul have to run supermod. But my truck is a reg truck haha no other changes

If I rember right, the 3rd place vehicle hit @151.

yeah im talking overall score with the sound judging in as well, just curious, i looked at the score sheet for it, looks like spl, plus probabkly about 70-100 other points, just guessing, maybe only 50 or so other points available. just sayin.

there where only 3 entries last year , but the all where petty nice builds.
1 st place did a 152.6 in SPL and score very well in the sq sheet .
