| i'm like jimbo i would use the pionner 4000 series for the amount of voltage you need. if you could find some of the old eclipse decks from about mid to late 90's they would work good. if you want you can try my 4300 again, we can get the voltage set just right for either sets of amps you have. | |

| Shitt maybe i have the 4300 lol or you already getting the 11 models???? I forget i stay in the office alot or in the bay i dont pay attention to the model numbers till im blowing them out at the end of the year...... Thats what i love about the pioneers you get a purdy clean 3.4 straight out of the box and any alpine i ever used would cut out around volume 23 or go lower then would go higher after volume 23 so i hate them..... But in my Vette i run Alpine for SQ... JMO | |

| I use the base model Pioneer Premier deck... sells for ~$140-150. It's got pause, all formats except FLAC, USB, and 4V preouts. Never had an issue getting my amps a strong signal.
It can get skippy in-car, with certain setups... but if you're competing unmanned, it's more than enough. Mine has held up in-car for my maximum 148 without skipping, but has gotten skippy at 140 at other times.
This year's model is DEH-P4100UB. | |

| I like alpines for the mute-roll when amps start going going into protect. Panasonic work great for straight burps as they havve never cut out on me due to lo voltage. I used to like pioneers but everyone I have had the rca outputs ended up going bad on me. I have always liked older eclipse deah head with the 8 volt pre-outs but no pause. | |

| We have measured and seen over 10 volts clean per side on my rockford 8140. 11-12 volts at a soft clip, and higher then 14 volts under full clip. havent put a scope on the 9140 yet but I know cracked wide open it does over 8 volts, just havent seen how clean it is, if its anything like its previous models, im sure it will be clean to withen a volt of its max. | |

| I looked at a few Kenwood and jvc but didn't see anybody running them so didn't think they might be an option. This is starting to be a pain BC the ones I like are real expensive. This deck will only be used for burps so I might just go a cheaper one. | |
