Sorry for not answering this earlier. Yes, I've spent ALOT of time testing these. Note that the original post has been edited 24 times (so far) Most songs have been tested by ear, Audacity, and using WinAmp's frequency analyzer. Some have been tested in-car, but most haven't. Only a couple were taken on good faith, but I'm going through those pretty quickly. I've purged a few bad songs, so anything that's still on the list SHOULD be a decent streetbeat song. 30 seconds (or nearly) of solid bass or fast beats. Obviously some will be stronger than others. You were right to point out the need for quality control, since I let a few stragglers slip through... but you get what you pay for. Merry Christmas

| Not a full-on SB song, but Owl City "Meteor Shower" is very solid. It's a tone that switches between 44, 58, 65, 73, and 87 Hz.
Kinda cool to listen to, if you have a well-tuned daily box, because the bass notes are all at the same amplitude, so you can test how FLAT your response is out to 44 Hz
Bass line is 40 seconds, if you start at 1:21

| Something I noticed this morning... All the Jeezy and Gucci songs that make good SB are from one producer. Shawty Redd LINK to WikiNext, it's time to test out all the songs he's produced, in hopes of new boner songs. Update: All of his recent stuff sounds almost identical to Waka Flocka Flame - "Hard In The Paint"... kinda sad how you can change one note, and make a "new" beat. | |

| Gucci Mane - The Burrprint 3 - "Foreign" has a 47 Hz tone throughout. Not sure if it's a real album or just a mixtape though. | |

| Forgot that I had a couple Lil Wyte albums. They were FULL of SB songs.
11 songs from 2 CDs... that's a street-beatable artist. Enjoy!

| Woot Woooooo~! More of that juggalo stuff. Tales from the Lotus Pod has no subsonic filter, so it's got some crazy lows on it (be warned). There's also a song that starts at 80 Hz for a few seconds. Kinda cheating, but it's part of a real song. | |

| Blue Man Group - "Endless Column" has a 41 Hz SOLID tone from 2:21 to 2:45 and slowly rolls off from there.
If you filter the highs and lows a bit, you can just roll the volume knob up... Definitely better than Lil Jon, but you gotta carefully manage your volume knob.
The rest of the CD is really good too, for SQ. It's alot of fun to decypher all the PVC tubes, whip swings, and random drums.

| HA! 3 minutes? Why would you need solid 3 minutes?? (begging for hearing damage)
Is this for a deathmatch?
I'll check on the Lil Wyte music when I get to my other computer. Might be good if you don't need a 100% solid tone.

| A few updates: Hurricane Chris, Boosie, Jeezy
Young Jeezy - The Recession - "What They Want" isn't a perfect tone, but it's really solid fof the first 45s of the song.
Also, since the list is kinda big, I included some ( * ) to denote the most tone-like songs

| @ Cody, So there are 3 songs I'd use: - Lil Wyte - Doubt Me Now - "Get High To This" or "We Ain't Playin" - Young Jeezy - The Recession - "Welcome Back"
"Zero Tolerance" is only 2:30 long, but is pretty solid after a few seconds lead-in. It fails tho. "The Possie Song" has 2 tones, and definitely sounds like a song. Only do it if your system is good at 48 Hz too.
@ 91Explorer, YEP! Most of them are good, though a couple are a bit more for fun than SB. "In The Streets" and "Ten Toes Tall" are the same beat, which is pretty toney, with no need for subsonic filter. "A Bay Bay" has breaks every 20 secs or so, but is decent for SB. Jeezy "What They Want" is probably the best in that range though.

| So, I've adjusted the thread for the new CD. You guys can thank me later. "Moonstone" from the album Download, might be usable at 2:29 for the low-tuned guys... but that's not terribly solid and not a full 30s. Doesn't make the list yet. Do you guys know of any other Bass Mekanik music that has 30 seconds of buzz? | |
