who makes a good 4" coil speaker??

i think RD audio made a 4 inch coil in the super heavy weights but not sure

you gunna change that picture

super HW is the same as the atomic.. i think the TSNS is a better woofer... but switch to those and it will do nothing but make the re builds more expensive.. not fix it your enclosure.. i think the TSNS has a little more excursion because it uses a bigger spider which might help you.. but its tough to say

why mess with clones when you can get the originals go with the atomics.

i got ya alan i know what i got to fix for that problem but i think i want to try a new sub once i do that fix

the older TSNS was no joke.. i dont know anything about the new ones. im sure the atomic is a decent woofer. im just not sure the spider size they use.. but those are the only two 4inch coil woofers id use.

FYI , there are other people who can build loud astros ! Its not hard to build them to quite honest ! I have one in Wisconsin that would do as good if not better than any of those guys. BTW you forgot steve cook, Geoff Cayemburg, Rooney, NWA, Steve Mick, Pro Truck, Tommy McKinney, among the few that stand out !

This guy made a post on caco about the issues. Got sound advice from top notch competitors who have had the same problem and gave him advice how to fix and he is still lookin for woofers instead of adressing the real problem. He even had proffesional sub builders tell him. Save yourself some money and follow what people have already helped you with.

no i know its not the woofers i already planning to cut the wall out once thats done im gunna put more power to her and need bigger coils, i got great advise i 100% know and understand its not a sub problem

i think im even gunna take some wood of the baffel down to the steel

seems weird, cause surrounds arent really the weak link in alot of woofers..

i looked at the cactus when i first built this and told them what i was gunna do and needed for subs & amps and was told theres only a couple of them here in the states and wasnt sure when they could get them, almost like they didnt take me serious on this build. so thats my thoughts on cactus but i am willing to talk to them again who should i try this time? i cant rember who i emailed before but i have to look it up
