hello new to the forum been out of the sound thing for a long while and was looking to find out if there was ever a rule change about so called cheater amps when i stopped competing there was talk that usac officials were going to black list certain amps because of there rated power was far below the actual output didnt know if it happened can anyone shed some light on this for me

What amp are you referring to? What are ALL the amps in your vehicle? Maybe we can help you on this one

i have two Kicker XS 50 amps which are rated 25x2 which back then put me in the old 0-100 class i think thats what the class was

doesnt matter to be honest with them amps they will do good, but well not cut it now a days you can only run 1 amp in 0-600
and 2 in 0-1000
3 in 601-1800
times have changed alot man you will learn over the course of the season

a good cheater amp these days is rated 500 watts or less and is huge. or 1000 watts or less and twice as huge.
