Joint Finals a success. USACI numbers down due to very remote (from USACI) location but better than expected. Results posted on web site.

First topic message reminder :

The intent of the USACI rules is to control vehicle modifications that are designed to manipulate the SPL score. Modifications for cosmetic or other unrelated reasons are not prohibited and are in fact encouraged. Common sense must be used in the determination of qualifying or disqualifying any modification based on competition division and extent of the modification.

tape does not exert force on your vehical
pushing does
so which is really legal
force+energy applied=pushing
no force applied to body=tape

(How many dam topics are you all gonna make regarding rules?)

Tape is not allowed in Stock or Modified because it is considered a manipulation of the cab or stiffens the cab. You may still hold the door/windshield with your hand but feet must stay on the ground.

Tape may be used in Super Mod only!

Now SB used to have it owns rules and now it is part of the USACi rulebook and in my thoughts it would fall under the same thing. And after talking to Don and Ralph guess what I was right Smile

how does tape strenthten your cab and pushing dont.

How exaclty is a rainbow made? How exactly does the sun set? How exactly does the posi-track rear end on a plymouth work? It just does!

The rainbow is made up of all the colors of the visible spectrum. We can also see these colors by using a prism. When white light passes through a prism, it is bent. Each color is bent differently. Red is bent the least, violet is bent the most. The white light spreads out into its colors. Each color of the visible spectrum can be seen.

A rainbow is an arch of light exhibiting the spectrum colors in their order, caused by drops of water falling through the air. It is seen usually in the sky opposite to the sun at the close of a shower and also in the spray of waterfalls. In the brightest or primary bow, often the only one seen, the colors are arranged with the red outside. Above the perfect bow is a secondary bow, in which the colors are arranged in reverse order; this bow is dimmer, because of a double reflection within the drops.

When the sunlight enters a raindrop it is refracted, or bent, by and reflected from the drop in such a way that the light appears as a spectrum of colors. The colors can be seen, however, only when the angle of reflection between the sun, the drop of water, and the observer's line of vision is between 40° and 42°.

When the sun is low in the sky the rainbow appears relatively high; as the sun rises higher, the rainbow appears lower in the sky, maintaining the critical 40°- to 42°-angle. When the sun is more than 42° above the horizon no rainbow can be seen because the required angle passes over the head of the observer.

So I can't duct tape over my vents but I can build gauge pods or put a screen where my vents were? How is one really different than the other? How much can I modify my dash for "show" and still fit in stock or mod? Where would a lot of the sq cars with built dashes to house speakers fit in the spl matrix?

the sq cars are mooded to accomodat the stereo system and swould be super. like its says, if its built for something other than the system then its ok. just use common sense when judging.if someone puts a gauge where a vent was at, does it work and whats it for? very simple to police and look at.now if someone just puts a random gauge in so it fills a hole and doesnt serve any purpose, then ill bet they did it because it made them louder.
