| Unless it's a single cab pick up amps have to be behind the b pillar. It used to state that specifically now it is only written as:
Exception: In the case of a single cab pickup truck the box, speakers, and amplifiers may extend forward of the “b” post but must not extend further forward than the rear of the truck seat back. Seat back must be locked in place and the seat mounting may not be moved to facilitate system installation.

Says that it cant be in front of the back of the seat, mounted in the factory location.

I'm in for a rule chance/restructure in regards to single cabs as well as ext cabs. Unless the amp is mounted on the box or on the back wall its just not possible to follow that rule.

That the rule is crap and needs to be restructured... is it really that big of a deal to put an amp under your seat?

play by the rules or get lost Just because they're the rules doesn't mean they don't need to be changed. Once someone answers my question about the issue of having your sub amp underneath say the driver seat then I'll entertain their answer but just saying its a rule so follow it is stupid.

| first off you or your number could never hurt my feelings
the fact that we have told you unless you have a single cab you cant have the amp forward the b-piller
the other fact is that you think 1 amplifier ie enough, and you need guidance
the other fact is that you are unwilling to go get a bed cover and run the amplifier in there probly meaning your on 1 battery as well you better pick another class could i would hand you your ass at finals
beleive that Dung Pile | |

beleive that Dung Pile Looks like someone needs to realize I'm no the OP. I have a single cab, run more than one batt and amp. The rule stated that amps can't be farther forward than the back of the seat which means nothing under the seat which is crap. A bed cover is for people who can't figure out how to get loud without one... btw you don't know what my numbers are...

| So what is the problem with putting it in the bed? I would say 99 percent of the trucks competing run their amps in the bed. Do you have a flat bed or something? | |

the problem with running amps in the bed is for smaller scale vehicles its inconvenient. If I were to use my truck as a full out spl vehicle then I'd do it but since its my daily its not practical. I don't see a problem with putting an amp(s) under the seats since in a single cab you really don't have a B pillar.
