| Chris,
I tried sending you a PM but even though I've cleaned out my PM box it still says 100% full and I don't think its allowing messages to go out or in. I could use some tips if you wouldn't mind sharing. Below is the message I tried to send:
Do you have any pictures of the kick panels you made for the Pontiac G8's? I was wondering what you did with the driver side kick panel as there is a large fuse panel in this kick. Where did you relocate it to? Any suggestions or tips on relocating this? The car has a big dash so I was wondering how you suggest to angle the kick panels for a two seat setup. I'd really appreciate your advice before I get started on the project. I had a bad amp from JL and am awaiting the replacement then getting started on the setup. Thanks Chris! | |

| On those vehicles I don't think there is an actual kick panel...is that correct? | |

| There is but it has a fuse panel behind it. I'll go out in the garage and take some pics then post in a few mins. Thanks. | |

| https://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/hotshot2003/G8%20Kick%20panels/There are only 6 pics although there are 12 in the album because it duplicated the upload. I was having some network issues earlier. The kicks are rather large but I'll need to relocate the fuse panel in the driver side kick to somewhere else. I know we had talked a while back and you said you'd done one of these and was about to work on the G8 GXP model as well. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks Chris! | |

| Ok. There is gonna be a point where you have to decide what you are willing to sacrifice. When I did a set of kicks in that type car I didn't remove the fuse panel. But when I had it apart you should be able to relocate the fuse panel farther up into your dash area. When you do this you will have to extend a few leads. Do this one lead at a time. It will take a little effort to do this and be a bit time consuming. This is the same process I have use when building kicks for my G35, the Nissan GTR, earlier versions of the honda, and multiple other cars. Once the fuse panel is relocated and secure it will leave you a fairly clean canvas to build on. | |

| Thanks Chris. Yes I have kicked the crap out of the kicks down there...I noticed that when I took the pictures. I would have to be more cautious if I put some mids down there. The car has side curtain air bags in the pillars that I would rather not have launch a speaker at me during an accident. For this reason I've decided to put the tweets in the corners of the dash in the factory location and would like to move the mids to the kicks. I've got very well damped doors but as you can see, the door location is far from ideal. | |

| Haha, I've got the BE tweets in the corners of the dash where the factory tweeters were. They do pretty good there I really just wanted to get better pathlengths with the mids by moving them to the kicks. I don't think a BE tweet and 3BE would feel that great hitting me in the head. | |
