| I have a 1990 Honda Accord EX, i am about to start a build in it, and sadly the largest drop in alternator i can find for it is about 170a, do any of you know a company that sells dual alt kits, or should i just omit my power steering and drop an alternator in its place instead? Also, i have never run a dual alt setup, if i want to retain the oem voltage regulator on my secondary alternator, i should be able to just piggy back the oem regulator on the stock alternator plug, correct? | |

| Just for reference if you have the ability to make some minor modifactions to your factory brackets it is actually quite simple to put a large case GM CS-144 alt onto any honda | |

Thanks i will look into this, i like the alt setup in the accord with f22 better than my civic or integra (which has the alt tucked under the Intake Manifold). The accord can def handle a larger alternator in its given position, surely even two with the power steering gone.

| hmm.. well some of you have a good sampling of the alternators on the market, but so far my one and only aftermarket alternator, i had it powering my stock battery + 2 Xstatic Batcap 800's just fine and i put that alt on my civic back in 04 and its still running just fine this day. So i may go to Load Boss again just from my own experience. | |

U need to lenghten the slot to allow the alt to pivot back far enough to not hit the block. I just used a cut off wheel and sliced it to the end and used big washers to keep it in place I have had a large case on our 86,88,90 Crxs and our 98 civic
