New project

This is my new stereo project so I thought I would share the progress.




The new box.


























The system consists of (so far)
3 Powerbass 3xl 15's
1 Powerbass XTA 5000D
1 Powerbass XTA 4140
4 Batteries
MTX 6 1/2 component
MTX 6 1/2 coax
Kenwood KDC-MP642U
Powerbass XEQ-5XO
tons of 0 gauge wire

It did 152.9 db at 50 hz

More batteries and alternators to come as well as a lot of sound deadener. It gets pretty violent for now but as of course I need more.

Thanks, when the budget allows I want to double up with 6 15's and 2 amps. Its like heroin lol.

wood dowels work ok,should of maybe used 1" braces routered out in the centers. but the box look good, does it play low enough for you?

they work ok but I need to do something a little different. It plays pretty low but I could have stood for it to be a but lower. Im gonna try to bring it to the show on the 25. Ive still gotta long ways to go though.

its a little less than 9 cubes after displacement. subs call for 5 a piece lol. If I go to 6 subs im gonna lose the back seat.

ya i went through the whole "lots of sub ground pounder kick last year". i was so unhappy with it due to my spl nature, i went out and got me a rex...lol

subs call for and what they are loudest in arent even close to being the same man i told you you have to get away from that stupid ass shop mentality that holds you back

The box plays just fine. I'm not chasing numbers just out to hurt feelings.

if you wasnt chasing numbers you wouldnt be looking to ruin at shows man you can lie to yourself but not me lol

and lose the back seat for 6 15's lol wtf

we could do 2 s10 stylr box's in that thing back to back for 6 15's and still have room

its gonna be a bit before the 6 subs happens, I wanna get my batts and alts and mat done first.

I would like to build a SB4 vehicle like Cody but it's hard enough finding money to compete in SB1. O well I guess I'll just have to stay quiet for right now.

in sb1? i would say last years sb1 winner. but the all time number to beat is mr. sb1 him self billy. team tx 158.0!!!!!

Ryan I don't believe you. I think you're probly at a 160 already and just givin us hope so you can take it all back. That's ok though. I know SB1 is gonna be extremely tough this year and I don't expect to win it. My goal is to slowly get all my equipment together over this year and next year hopefully be ready to have a shot at SB1.
