Brand Opinions From The Pros PLS?

Greets all.
Looking for some brand name opinions for a poor man's moderately decent system, not a competition and trophy winning system that's going to be in a show, nor a Pyramid grade piece o' sh*t either. Something to rattle my chest a bit when cranking music from those I love, like Techmaster PEB or the likes of Neil Case, and perhaps not blowing up after a week.

I want an arrangement with 4 12" woofers backed by a pair of monoblocks, and also, i'd prefer all of my equipment (except perhaps HU) to come from the same manufacturer (in other words, a purist system lol).

I need opinions from seasoned veterans like some of you fellas on the following:

Power Acoustik
Sony
Phonics Digital
Cerwin Vega (entry level)
Blaupunkt (particularly HU's)
Performance Teknique
MB Quart (entry level; ie Discus or Reference series).

i run power acoustik and its not the greatest but i tell ya what itll pound with the best of them . and never had any trouble for 6 plus years now, look into the ab3000 that amp is nice does 2300w and only cost 200 250 ..

Who owns Planet Audio? I remember they were bought by someone....perhaps PA or Pyramid? I've never heard their equipment in action, but I do remember reading once that they're a subsidiary of someone everyone knows.....

i would agree on planet audio if you want bang for the buck... Alot of my questionable customers always get that cause it is almost bullet proof and some of these guys are hard on equiptment and it seems to hold up to their pushing it to the limits..... Bang for the buck for sure. i concur with ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ And no pyramid doesn't own them

They were originally purchaced by boss...lol and then split to thier own entity. And actually planet was one of the few audio markets that actually turned profits in the profit margin in the last 5 yrs despite the tough economy.They really do have great product for cheap prices,And I appreciate the comments about planet. We are working hard to cause awarness in the competition realm. What I like is the specs on thier equipt...Signal to noise rations are spectactular as well as brute strength with out a demand of alotta power,and I love the clarity in thier big bang subs! I know thier are more "proven" companys out there but not in the price to quality ratio....Never-the-less like these smart guys said Planet is a great choice when you want a big,quality system without the big buck! yeah i would put my money into planet audio and i am. i workin for a crapy 8 bucks an hour 20 hours a week and can still affored a full planet audio system that should be about 150 db if not higher

I'm selling my MTX TS85 12's for $325 each. I have 4 brand new in the box. I would sell all 4 for $1200. When i used them in my competition setup they burped a 157.7. In my daily setup they would burp a 153.8. I blew them in competition and I haven't used them since I got them back from being warrantied.
