| I just wanted to know what people thought about the comparison between the two types of amps. I currently have the Audison VRX and was looking at the Alpine PDX amps...two 1000watts and two 150x4 watts. Which amp line do you guys think is better for SQ | |

| Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? the pdx does not even come close. Not the same league of amps. Look at the expandiblity of the VRx. Look at the build quality, the sound. Plus the pdx's are known for going thermal. | |

| we've got some guys on the Team pushing PDX's pretty hard...no one's gone 'thermal' that I've heard. If I was choosing though...I'd choose Audison. | |

x2 The only Audison amps I would replace with the alpines would be the SRX series and even then it's debatable. I'm actually getting a LRX off our tinter because he is going alpine now.

| Never had any termal issue with the pdx. I find the pdx1000.1 short on power. | |

| I just realized that was you, Muhammad! I didn't think you would have to. Stop by the shop someday, and say hi. We got two more shows this year and both should be good turn outs. | |

| most cars ive sat in over the years with audison are only good at high volume......its no a very linear amp........the amp lacks balls at low volume...........if they have that fixed it is a very sounding amp..........its not the equipment you use its how you use it........ | |

| I've got PDX amps and they work fine for me. I don't drive the hell out of them but I agree that the 1000x1 is a little weak in the shorts for a 1000 watt amp. I've managed to heat both of the amps up on occasion but never once had a thermal (DOH!!! Now they'll probably thermal tomorrow!)
I've heard a TON of good amps while judging and like Mickey mentioned, it's not what you have but how you use it that makes the most difference.
I'd like to tell you what I personally prefer but then everyone would scream BIAS at the next show I judge. (neither brand has been mentioned yet though and I very rarely see either brand at shows anymore)
