| If u want this sport 2 grow u should put a high quality goal up 2 win we don't get paid 2 do this we spend our hard earned $ and some risk their families for this. A huge trophy is awsome I'm not saying its not but swat gives large or unique trophies at their shows what I'm saying is if each shop or area did their own unique thing it could draw more people 2 ur show and then have finals be an elite prize or atleast for the champion just my opinion and marketing thought | |

| Im just thinking shops spend all kinds of money tyen to promote events etc that if they would just get a unique one of a kind trophy prize money whatever more people woould hear about/see it and want it therefor more people would try to make those shows. Like I said we dont get paid our reward at the end of the day is plastic and you cant use it to buy anything so why not make it the coolest plastic around? and then at finals make it the main reward. I have only wanted a huge trophy in the 11 years that I have been competing I finally went to finals took second and got a unique one so it was cool our car club got the huge car club 7ft trophy but it was ok because at swat shows I had already recieved a 4 or 5Ft trophy and it was a free show. When I go to family events or work or even just hangin out I cant take my trophies to showem off but I could a ring and that would be prestiges and more people would either want in this sport to get one or atleast respect this sport and the people in it!!! | |

| I feel they realy need to do something about the regular events also cause like its been said that i have been to 3 states to compete and have gotten the same trophie. Excepet over at Platt City. That was a very nice award over their. Thats been the nicest 1 I have seen this year, but atleaste I got a trophie. I won a loudest of show in another org a few weeks ago and was told that it had to be built and would be sent to me and I have yet to see that one. | |

| Have any of you ever priced nice trophies? They aren't cheap! When you as a promoter are spending hundreds on trophies and minimal show up or have unfull classes you are stuck with a bunch of expensive trophies. It would be nice, but better trophies at local shows will most likely mean bigger entry fees to cover them. Something to think about.
As for finals, leave the trophies the way they are. Maybe a ring for 1st but leave the rest alone. My son loves his huge trophy. | |

| All I am saying is that if you have a special feat for your show people may drive for it. Swat shows are free and the 3x show of the year always has dope trophies people drive for it. You can get all the points you need in almost any area so give em a reason to come to your show!!!! belts cups rings plaques cash whatever as a shop you should know how to advertise your show to get a return investment. Swat has a huge team champions with big names all the way down to the kid that cruises every night telling all his friends about this free show and how great the people are to him that gets buisness the guy doing world records brings guys that want that all around its a return on what they spend to give nice prizes for FREE shows its always a good show with lots of cars. I am not trying to be cocky about this I am just saying that we all could play a big part in making this sport grow bigger and faster then any other we just have to look outside the box! again I mean no disrespect to any one or shop just my opinion | |

| Understandable. I think it's a two way street. Less competitors, smaller trophies for a promoter to break even, even. Smaller trophies, less competitors. Which came first the chicken or the egg? | |

| I det what your saying and agian no disrespect but its up to the promoter to make show what it is. You cant just post a show and hope they come you half to offer something they cant refuse. Why should they spend the 50-100 bicks in gas to come to your show when they can stay in the area and get the same trophy or prize. The swat team hits up platte city mo kearny nebraska and atlantic iowa every year because of trophies and atmosphere. Kearny and atlantic have a huge car show and other activities rides games etc platte city always a big turn out lots of prizes and has unique trophies. You have to "promote" the show and be willing to not expect a return investment on the show in the imediate futrue it comes in time through the year after all the kids get done telling everyone about it after you build the show up for the next year thats when the return comes. But its up to the shop if they want to take on the challenge. I hope more shops do even if they went to 1-2 shows a year instead of 3-4 just to make them bigger and more affordable. | |
