| Ok here is the deal boys and girls. Everyone is welcome. On saturday the August 30th we will be holding a regionals USACI soundoff. The top three cars in each SQ class will receive an automatic bid to Finals. Now for the part you guys want to hear: The top car in each USACI sq class will receive an automatic bid to the $10,000 dollar money round. That means you will not have to pay an entry fee to get into that round. Now that leaves 31 open spots. Those spots can be pre-registered by anyone. WE ARE ASKING THAT ALL MONEY ROUND COMPETITORS COMPETE IN THE USACI REGIONAL SOUNDOFF. The rules for the event will be as follows. There will be 4 pairs of judges that will each judge the 40 entries. The high and low score will be thrown out and the remaining two scores will be averaged. This will be sound only, no install. The sound rules and sheet will be based on I A S C A sound rules and the ultimate sq sheet. The sunday round will be sanctioned by I A S C A. If you compete in this round you will be able to compete at the I A S C A finals as well (this will be great for all you competitors looking for a show on this side of the world). The music will be decided by the judges prior to the event. They will be picking 15 songs that will be pressed onto 40 CD's (by the judges in the highest quality available) and given to the 40 competitors in their registration packet. There will be some traditional SQ tunes as well as some real world music, and no genre will be excluded. The thought is that the best sounding system should sound good on any music, no matter the genre choosen. The judges: James Feltenberger Nick Wingate Dale Fontenote Doug Winker Chris and Melissa Owens Mickey Brones Lee Teeples Prize money break down: 1st $4000 2nd $2500 3rd $1750 4th $1000 5th $750 Entry Fee: For the remaining 21 entries the fee will be 100.00. Packets and invites will be mailed out on june 1st. You can pre-register by phone or fax: Car Toys Phone: 918-254-5093 Fax: 918-250-1459 For any questions please email or call me: Cell: 918-519-3869 Email: christerferpate@gmail.comPlease re-mail your info just in case i have misplaced it. P.S. Neither my car (the honda), or Rob's Car (the other honda), or Gary's Regal will be competing in this event. | |

| Chris, I thought I sent a request for an invite...but I guess it wasn't accepted. It doesn't matter, I am not ready to compete anyway. I will however be at the USACi comp on that weekend. | |

| It will be interesting to see how some cars place differently here than DSN because the judging will be 2-seat. The only real way to do it IMO. | |

| Here are the latest updates: Larry has been added as a judge. That is official. Also The money round will take place on both days. All competitors are required to be here on saturday for a competitor meeting in the morning. All entries will recieve the judging CD in there registration packets which will ship out the last week of June. The logistics have been worked out, and all competitors will receive detailed comments from all the judges prior to the end of the event. We will be giving two special awards, one for longest distance traveled, and one for best sound score for a street driven car. There will be assigned judging times for every competitor, and you will receive them in your packets. We are asking everyone to compete in the USACI regional as well. We want to make to make the turn out for the whole event huge! There will be a competitor party and seminar with all the judges including DR. Douglas Winker. We are also requesting a picture of everyone's ride (exterior) and a list accomplishments. Just email that to me at christerferpate@gmail.com . This will be posted on the myspace page for this event. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to call me. We want this to be the most enjoyable event you have ever attended. 918-254-5093 918-519-3869 Thanks, Chris Pate | |

I do not agree John. My car, my system, my money spent. I want it to sound good to me while I am driving. If the passenger enjoys it then good for them. I am still the one I am building my sytsem for and will tune the system for my litening location and my preferences. Two seat juding makes it a lot harder to build for, but serves no purpose other than just that, to make it harder to build or tune for. Now more than one judge, everage scores. Brilliant... Obvioulsy an opinion, not policy.

| Per agreement with Car Toys all SQ competitors including those with open money round invitations will be judged in the USACI competition prior to participating in the Money Rounds.
We appreciate the support and understanding of all the Sq and SPL competitors who will help to make this event one for the archives. We wish each and every one of you the best of luck!

| If a car will do two seats, it will do one seat.
My placement at Scrapin/DSN is living proof of that.

| Fact...if a car will two-seat it will one-seat. The other way around is most definitely not always the case. I just look to heart of the upper classes of USACi...two-seat. It's much harder to build a two seat vehicle. It pushes the envelope and makes us better. Kind of like install. The install in my C5 totally works for me just fine. The install in something like Crowder's old S10 is totally competition driven and built to 'kill'. So we may as well tune our cars on 'kill' as well. | |

All sq competitors are required to be here on saturday morning. Invitational round judging will begin with a competitor meeting at 7 am on saturday and the judging will begin at 8 am. My car is built as a one seat vehicle. I spent one hour Friday night setting up a two seat setting for the first time ever. I scored 201 in Pro Q and came in second by 2 points to Steve Head's civic. I wouldn't say it is all that difficult. that same setting was used for intermediate pro. I won that class. No change at all. I also won Car Audio Nationals highest one seat SQ score using the two seat setting.

| nah the WE4 I was asking about was the t-type he got from that lady in OK. He told me about it at Finals. Looks just like a GN except for the interior and a couple of minor things. That's cool that he's working on another GN though. I love these chassis and he for sure has it figured out. Man, I wish I could make the show just to see what shows up! | |
