Shattered my windshield yesterday

Was burping and testing the van all week with no problems in the 164.0 db area(yes on the dash). Got to the show yesterday did a test burp since it was extremely hott out (close to 100) and here was the consequences. :*(

Was using 4 Cactus Sounds 18s, 4 Cactus Sounds 5kW amps, 2 Cactus Sounds batteries, and threw in my old (last years') NSB90s to gain a couple tenths in score for the SS3-4 class. Ending result was a 163.8 AT the show. The Brand X judges' meter is about .5 lower then mine.

I've got a pic or two of it before you started taping it if you want I'll put it up. Very nice score, Geoff. Once again we had a great time at the show, only 12 db to go to catch you. Better watch out!!! lol

sometimes it will stop it from leaking when it does spiderweb if you use good tint well thick tint. sometimes it will break with the flex of the windsheild too

dB Dragx. Jeremy Weber's tough boy Termlab. His is like .5 lower then mine. So it would be close or slightly lower to the Finals meter(whosever that was.)

it was at 70 Hz and to tell you the truth I didn't even know I broke it till someone ran over and started taking pictures.

well i have been installing windshields since the early 80,s,and i tryed putting two windshields together it wont work.i went to aq glass show a few years back in atlanta there was a company making glass that you can throw it on the ground and with it bent you can jump up and down as much as you want it will not break and it is real glass,i dont rember what company but i will call ppg in the morning to see if they know them.

im not sure but i sure will check on it .if it is still avail it will be the glass to have,

but i wonder if they will call it a mod

no i dont think they can because if i remember right it was the same thickness as reg glass,and if has a dot stamp on it and as-1 on it it is legal.
