USACI World Championship Series (UWCS)

UWCS = USACI World Championship Series.


Eastern Finals = Greenville SC - September
Southern Finals = DFW - October
National Finals = Omaha. - November

Score from DFW and SC and NE would carry over to the "NATIONAL TITLE" which would be the results of all three events combined to one!

Advantage: Regional Finals champions bragging rights and people who cannot make it to NE still have a registered score that has to be beaten for the national title.

Disadvantage: You do not make NE and get beat, you do not get a rerun! People at the last event know what number it will take to win…. But, all the more reason to make Omaha if you can!

We have Regional Champions at all three events and then we combine all the results to crown the National Champions!.


A work in progress....... But we have tentative dates reserved in all three locations!

Thought you bashed a certain other org for doing something similar?

I see less attendance at the National Finals in Omaha, making it even less appealing to spectators than it already is. Very simalar to what drag did this season. From my own experience as a spectator at the Indianapolis location (which was one of the bigger locations for turnout) I must say I was very dissapointed compared to past years.

So what's the point?

Nothing even similar.....

You win in SC, you win in TX, and you win in NE. All the area titles....

Combining would be done for national standings like many other sports do..


Different locations, different months, and any competitor who wants to see what is going on at the other events is welcome to compete or attend any or all the above.



Very different, allows a lot more to attend, and the only difference from what we do now is the overall standings…

Omaha will still be National finals.

I think it would bring more peoplel to Omaha.....


And before we get negative and start slinging, this is an off the cuff idea for you to reveiw and should not be a reason to start bashing anyone or anything.

I think the "national" event in Omaha would suffer greatly from this. People would chose to compete in the area closest to them and then not have the funds or time off to go to the true "world finals" event.

I can see this going either way. If the scores are done in either of the other areas you best no the people going to Omaha have that score if not better so you will need to get your pooter up there for a rerun. I can also see Omaha attendance been down because people can't get that number that as already been done. If the new site was up and running and we had member profiles. I can see this going over huge. Becuase we could see what other people where doing in the diffrent regions and no they will most likly make the drive to one of the regionals and make a least me if i compete again work harder.

i like the idea an idea is just do regional events like you have now, do more than just two event prior to world finals.....have one for the northern guys southern south eastern as well

Throw in a little benefit if you go to one of the regionals and Worldfinals. 25 bucks off entry at world finals or something along that line's if you attended one of the regionals and maybe 50 if you won one of the regionals.

It's supposedly 50 minutes closer to me going to Omaha over Kansas City and I know it took about 11 going to KC.

No where did he say this was a link up. The only issue that was bashed on the other org that would come into play here would be the different sensor's.

Just curious here, Geoff, how many USACi shows did you guys have up there this season? Don't take this as a shot at you or those up there, I'm curious.

A Northeast / Mid Atlantic region site would be nice.
But it does resemble something done last month.

This is the first year that finals has had a positive vibe to it from what I have seen, you yourself even said it was the best to date. I think I wiould focus on keeping it that way and making the venue even better.

The positive I see in this suggestion is it would allow more people an avenue of competeing but like mentioned I think it would kill your overall finals attendance.

I say just do it. All together will be better than one show.

I can see some people staying away because they see the scored already posted. I don't know where the excitement of going to finals just to go went. I can remember people taking cars to finals that weren't even finished just for the experience of competing at finals. To have a competitor badge for the scrap book.

I have to agree that some fee reduction should be in place for those attending regionals and them finals, also not having a huge entry fee for the regionals. I know that monetarily this all has to make sense for the organization, but it also has to be better for the competitors. This would enable those who absolutely cannot travel to have a shot at placing or even winning at finals. I don't think I ever want to see something tried like what brandX did. Another point that I would have to add is that the sensors stay consistent at the regionals and finals. ie: Keep the 0-600 computer and sensor the same for East, South and Finals. Also don't use those sensors for anything else between the shows. This would keep it as consistent as possible.

I would hope that people do not forgo finals because they won a regional, however only time can tell.

So does this mean that UWCS does not apply to the other half of USACi competitors? Since there is no reruns in SQ, this proposition is strictly considered for SPL. Is this correct?

No Jeff, no qualifying needed. You can show up at any of the three events and post a score. If you post a score at one of the two regionals, you don't need to go to finals if you don't want to, your score from the regional would count.


So this leads to the question. Will all classes, at all three shows, be on the same sensor? Basically will the Stock 601-1800 sensor be the same one at all three shows? If that's not the case, I have a feeling you are going to lose some competitors.

I think it's a good idea but U got to think of every serious competitor. I cost me $1000 in gas alone to nebraska. How about 4 different regions:east west north south first,then a national final. Altough there are more competitors in the southwest,U can't forget about us little guys.
