| I'm staying in 0-1K, I still haven't attained my goals there.
While I think the big numbers do scare some people away, it's like that with pretty much every class unless people just keep it at the local level where they stand more of a chance.

| if you dont blow people out the water so badly they think they have a chance and they build and test to get louder and they will actually show up to try and beat you at finals
in omaha i had a 160.6 for 0-600 prostock and i could have just wooped on phatsam, but i did the respectfully thing and made it exciting instead i kept it close and we had a huge crowd in the lanes to watch it because of this

| i know personally my first year i was siked out to go to finals just by the talks of sandbaggin.... MORE so... the loss wasnt the biggest thing... but the fact of going and not being able to place and still pay all that money...
You drop hundreds of dollars to go to finals and expecting not to place... its easy to not talk yourself out of going...
turns out i could have placed.

| Lately it seems like reverse sandbagging. People talk all that smack all year and then don't even show or don't put up what they said they could *cough 2013 SS 0-6 cough*
The thing about show attendance... 115+ entries for spl at Scrapin. Hmm... Maybe usaci should do finals a little further south? Maybe?
Naw... Lets do it in BFE. Great idea.

I showed a 60+ the same day the only competition i had was supposed to do it at another show. It sucks, when i see someone doing good scores it makes me want to run the class. Not get out lol

| A smart man and multiple time world champion from at least 3 orgs once told me only do the number it takes to win, that way you have some in the bag for the next yr or the next time you meet your opponent.
If your a db louder than your opponent then your always a head of the game/ competition. If you win by .1 but have a db in your side pocket the guy might show up then next year .8 louder thinking he has you, well you already had him a year ago, plus whatever you may have gained since you last met and you win again by .1 or whatever.
This wise man also told me why show it all unless you need or will be retiring and want to go out showing it all.
I'm not retiring this year, but he supposedly is after next weekend. |

| I will be in Trunk 1000+ next year, that's "IF" I purchase another trunk vehicle to totally build it for USAC only. I look at it like this , hit the highest number i can, basically showing everyone my real number ,set up, and how I did it. then try to stay on top. | |

| I never sandbag on purpose. I do it from lack of time or preparation. My car hadnt played with both amps until i was at finals on Saturday. Granted i had known my car pretty well. I feel i still have some more to find | |
