| Is there a difference in using welding cable for the main power wire from the battery in front to battery's in back? Trying to get the $$$'s for a rebuild and welding cable is a big cost saver if it works as well as the higher strand count types from stinger, JL, ect.
What is the best option here?
Thanks

| Go wuth the stranded. Current rides on the surface .it is worth the money.the welding cable has thin shield also. | |

| I had 12 runs of 2/0 welding cable in my Steetmax 3-4 van and a year after switched to 26 runs of Kicker Hyperflex. Needless to say the score on the TL never changed and back then wire is what helped quite a bit. Streetmax 3-4 only used a front battery and a rear battery with vehicle not running. I hope that tells you something. | |

| Spend the xtra money and go with the OFC wire (oxygen free copper) rather than than CCA or (copper clad aluminum) wire is alot cheaper but doesnt pass the current as well and will last you a lot longer..If your going to spend a decent amount on your amps or overall system and you want to get the most out of your system than stay away from the cheap Dung Pile.. | |

| There's nothing wrong with CCA. You can just run an exta run of CCA and still be cheaper with more current flow. | |

| Most of you guys just burp and dont run a daily setup..I was referring to a daily driver where the wire can get hot and build resistance is all I was referring to..But hey like was mentioned before just run more wire runs thats all.. | |

| Noting wrong with CCA except that it's CCA. Aluminum wire can't pass the current like copper can, gets alot hotter because of this. There's a reason they don't allow aluminum wiring in houses anymore....too many house fires. | |

| I use 3/0 welding and i like it; sure its not as flexible as a lot of popular car audio 1/0 but its still fairly flexible. | |

| OFC is no doubt a better wire, but FOR THE PRICE DIFFERENCE you can run 4 runs of CCA for the same cost as OFC. Like I said before 2 runs of CCA will most likely outperform 1 run of OFC and at half the price. | |
