| Looks like the value of all my stock panels just went up ten fold. Anybody wanna buy stock panels? Lol.
Steel plate? No problem. Missing a 24 year old panel? Fail.
Lmao. | |

| Random thought of the day, we bring this stuff up year after year and it doesn't get fixed, or rarely even answered on the forum. Do they even care? As long as they are still getting our money maybe not.
I know USACi isn't as big as it used to be, cuts have been made here and there, the way business is conducted is different, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. One example is 10 years ago they used to drive the big rig and hual the huge trailer all over, but then again gas/diesel was $1.25-1.75 a gallon, so obviously that change was smart. But you'd think USACi being a full time job/business venture that stuff like updates would get done more often.
I know they have other stuff to do as well, like fight fires etc, but sometimes I wonder what they are actually doing.
Here's another thought, since pretty much everyone on staff at the home office is also on the volunteer FD, who fights the fire if there's one on Finals weekend? |

| I think they see us who post as "complainers" and say "you can't please everyone" without thinking about the fact there are TONS of other people on the way out or already gone who don't give a crap to post or simply just don't come on the forum, who actually feel the same way and are burned out after less than a year of competition ... some don't even get to make it to the real eye opener at finals | |

| I think you're absolutely right, Alan. Guys who've been around a while are seen as "grumpy and nothing is ever good enough." New guys are "whiners who want the rules tailored to them." And everybody else "doesn't know WTF they're talking about."
The panel thing isn't really that big of a deal at all. Other than mini trucks aren't being held to the same standard. Makes total sense to require stock panels to be in "stock" class.
Also, seems like there would have been a post or something about rule changes. I mean, I appreciate that the changes are buried in the rules somewhere, but if it were me, I'd highlight any changes that have been made every year instead of just assuming people are going to re-read the rules every other week looking to see if they're still the same. I mean, a member of the R&E committee wasn't even aware of this particular change.
Makes me wonder what else has been changed that we don't know about. And I don't care enough to read the entire rule book again to see. Guess I'll just get moved to another class if and when I show up.

| STOCK Division: Competitors may not compete in the stock division if they meet any of the requirements for a “PRO” competitor as defined previously in these rules. Alternator, capacitance, battery, voltage, and amplifier limits are defined in “Appendix A” (located at the end of this book). Pickups may have equipment (batteries, amps, crossovers, etc.) located in the bed. This equipment may not protrude above the factory bed rail or more than 36 inches from the front wall of the factory bed. (Not the bed lip). No Speakers or enclosures are allowed outside the cab. Bed cuts are not allowed. Factory panels may be removed in the cargo area to facilitate system installation. Podiums will be allowed. Modifications: No modifications will be allowed to the interior of the passenger compartment or exterior of the vehicle in order to facilitate the audio system. The floor, ceiling and dashboard must be OEM or equivalent to include all fabrics, coverings and carpets.
And it still reads incorrect....

| I thought that it had always been in the rules and i have interpreted the rules per the stock class as having stock panels as a requirement. Good thing i never removed any of mine.

| me and ralph had a conversation about this yesterday, and he asked me my opnion on this topic. i explained that i thought it should either be you can pull panels below the window line or not allow any of them to do it at all in stock wich is what i beleive should be the rule anyways ebcause removing panels isnt stock anymore.
rules are vague and need to be clarified and adressed per vehicle just emagine how long that would take and how much reading as well

But like jeff said is The way it should have been from the start. But I think mod should be allowed to pull the front seats too. I don't see the point in allowing swivels and plastic seats.in order to keep the cabin like "stock" lol
