| You have to have proper insurance for this and DOT authority or hire on to someone that has all of that. Your average insurance will not cover work for hire. this is what we do, I know. With the new CSA2010 rules in place...some fly-by-night winging type operation won't last long. I would turn one in in a heartbeat. its too hard to do what we do 'right'.
To the OP...get their insurance certificate when you hire them...and DOT #. | |

| hahaha watch them car hauler's most of them are broker's and have no pull with the driver at all. I was quoted $1200 and 2 week window to move two cars from co-ca. well i have to be here and be there fro the driver.well that wont work. then if i wanted a 1 week window it was $400 extra, then a 3 day window was another $400 then if i wanted them there on a certain day it was $1200 per car. I found it easier just to trailer them down there myself and come back for the rest. there is a website that you can see ratings for these hauling company's i suggest checking it out before making a choice because there is some crap on there that might make you think twice here you go http://www.transportreviews.com/one trick i didnt like was when the driver shows up and wont pick up till they re-negotiate the price and charge you more | |

| most of those review pages are independent...this one seems pretty good. Gives company chance to respond and what not. Heck, we're even on there. I don't run freight that direction often or I would quote that. | |
