| i know theres a few of you guys on here that have fooled with these cars and was wondering what it took to swap the head to a vtec on a 90 hf. From what im looking at on the car the intake, head, and fuel system will have to completely change but im not sure which route to take with this, any info is helpful. | |

| ^ did they have obd0 P28's? - never owned older than a obd1 honda. You will have to run the proper wire/sensors to activate v-tec, this is the v-tec pressure switch, v-tec solenoid wire, and another one but can't remember which. A change of ecu will be in order. I don't "think" you have to upgrade the fuel system any, i don't see why you would need to. www.honda-tech.com as stated should have a write up, there is good information on there, i been on there for years. Make sure you "search" first before asking a question on there, they are HUGE on flaming people for asking questions. Not too sure on the D-series heads, but you maybe able to re-use your manifolds and dizzy. I shouldn't be too hard though, i swapped a DOHC ZC into a crx once, it we didn't have to do too much to make it work, i think i rewired some dizzy components but that was about it. | |

| no the crx is obdo and you will need an obd0 to obd1(vtec) harness everything is in the ecu and harness you get the vtec working its that simple
the vtec pressure switch is on the head he has to swap onto his d16a block | |

| you cannot do a mini-me with an HF bottom end. The Hf only has 2 valve reliefs cut into the pistons and all vtec heads are 4 valves per cylinder. swap the entire motor out | |
