| He meant 1 amp per sub. Those amps are dirty. In power handling order ... My opinion you will cook the AQ 4 layer coil. Although they are great woofers and great for spl that's the only down side I see. Then I would say the IA would come next. Im not sure what series your looking at but that should be a MT style 8 layer that's kinda thin wire. None of them compare to the 8 layer atomic uses. Even in the lower line ELE it's as thick as the apx. Thats the truth.. not being a fan boy cause i use atomic lol .. but atomic woofers have so much going for them im glad i made the switch back to them last year. Maybe tonight ill try and post some comparison pics tonight to show. | |

| Why not recone the woofers you have and pit all 4 amps on them. How in the world are you fitting 4 18s anyway. | |

| cooling would also help in keeping the coil togather
and atomic is king in this class for that | |

| I see you are running sb4. Welcome to the club. What kind of vehicle are you planning on using? Also if those are the choices then I would say Atomic, AQ, then IA. But that also depends on which series of these subs you are talking about using. But with the power you are using I would say like Alan and say run 2 18's and run 2 amps per sub. That is how Fred's Explorer is setup. Fred is running 4 DDZ 15's and 8 Sundown 3500's 2 per sub on 9 Batteries and 1 Mechman Alt. Which may get changed out this year. But he hasn't decided if he is going to or not. Depends how things play out this year.(If anyone gets close to his score.... joking!) Anyway if you need any help with setup or what not give me a pm or something. And before you say to yourself oh he won't help me because I'm in the same class. I try and help everyone regardless of what class they run. PM 2003f150 or 91Explorer or dbdaddy and ask them about if I am willing to help out. Anyway good luck on your build. | |
