anyone else hit a wall....

idk i have worked on my stuff for two weeks with no gain what so ever...idk wtf to do...i am gettin pretty worried

I lost 3 tenths this weekend going from a slot port to PNR ports. If that makes you feel any better.

i know the feeling...two week straight of that stuff...

We got on the meter at the show yesterday and some of our builds were down 2+db from the meter we used the night before. One of ours was dead on, another friends was down 2+ also. I got a lot of testing to do next year since I actually plan to keep the same car for more than six months. I hope you can get past your problems.

Phinney when it happens to me i have to walk away from the vehicle for like a week then usually its all better after that.. You might just see it so much that your not seeing the problem.. Just my opinion .. But works for me..

I had this problem before I quit and is the reason I quit. I spend about 12hrs one day testing and building. It resulted in loosing exactly 1.0 dB and not being able to get it back, even with the same exact equipment. Someone stole me dB, I'm done!

Thats what I do also, but I leave it for a week, lol. Damm thats why I'm not done and ready for finals........

i hit a wall once, its hard to get past, but once i did then i was like duhhh why didnt i think of that before!!!!

I've seen that brick wall before.

Even worse if the loss of dB's. Ask Bobbo about that. We've lost more in his vehicle than we've ever gained. Multiple times we've lost .5 dB that was there for multiple burps. Change 1 minor thing, lose a half, change it back, never get that half back. I bet that's happened to us 4 or 5 times. He's got 2-2.5 db hiding in there somewhere.

My team partner DARYAL gained 2.5db by farting during a run.

Lost 1-2 db's yesterday at the show.Don't even know how,because we tested on friday on half charged battery.
Oh, and by the way I gained 1/2 db by forgetting my sunroof was open

Going through it as we speak... Guess im threw messin with it till wed . Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Phinney it just seems to work that is all i was meaning.. Not trying to put you more behind ... Just works cause we get frustrated thinking of one thing when its usually something crazy like re gaining the amps cause they are not matched anymore... Weird stupid stuff that you dont think of when your frustrated..... Burnin one also helps but i dont condone that ... LOL

I am not sure how much it helps. I am still in the testing phase on that theory. I will update everyone on this scientific study at finals.

I suggest starting with running some numbers such as voltage drop, power output, impedance, etc. Make sure nothing is wrong there.

I worked on Kenny's integra the other night. When he got there it was doing 150.2...when he left it was doing 156. All I had to do was fix a few simple things, I didnt even really do any tuning on it. Always make sure the basics are in line before thinking any further.

all you guys hitting walls are making me paranoid i havent even started building yet still rounding up cash to buy different amps...............hopefully i ca figure something out quick\

I hit a wall, called I live in the ghetto...if I build here it will get jacked. I still havent had amps stay on for a run in the lanes. Going to try some new setups and had to sell old stuff to go with new stuff.

So if it dont work out soon, im gonna be real real quiet at finals

yep and thanks again... man was i happy when i left. amazing wat all the lil things can do. it should be louder with more tuning or another box

I ran into the same problem last week. Work my Gluteus Maximus off on the box only to loose DBs. What i usually do is take a brake and relax, then get back to it. Sometimes you are so much involved into it, you lose sight of the little things. Just take a brake and I am sure you will get over that Wall.
