| Hey all
Who all is looking at running Street Q this year. This looks to be a fun class.
The way I understand it, must run SPL class to compete in street Q. Is the score that that you get in your spl class go on the street q score sheet or is it tested for separate?
Thanks Dan | |

| My friend Roger wants to win this class this year! So there is 2 classes!? One extreme class ware the speakers don't have to be in the stock locations? How is the sq side judged? Do they give points for installation? | |

| Hey Chris. The classes that include SPL are as follows...
Street Q x-over SPL class 1 seat judging Intro SQ+ one seat judging. sound, install,SPL Mod SQ+ one seat judging. sound, install, SPL Super Mod SQ+ two seat judging. sound, install, SPL Extrem SQ+ two seat judging. sound, install, SPL
You can take a look into the rules to see what modifications can be done in each class.

| this class was kind of a collaborated brain child. Not much to it...intro one seat sound and throw down an SPL #. Heck I'd have to go back and read to see if there was anything at all to do with install. | |

| Nope, that is about it, and the sq side is limited also. I'm actually building a ride for this class to play around in. Looks to be a fun class, but SPL score will control who wins and who leaves empty handed.
On the sq side on it, just need the basics. doesn't have to be pretty, just sound good.

| That is what I thought! Roger id in the 156+ @40 hz. And still gaining on the spl side. And sq is ok. It sounds great nice and clean install but not a top notch sq build by far. | |

| I believe that is supposed to be a crossover from SPL to SQ and not SQ to SPL .
The Street Q Class is designed for the crossover SPL competitor (All SPL Classes except Super Modified, Port Wars, and Super Port Wars). The class will include the competitors SPL score and an SQ score on the USACI Intro SQ score sheet. There will be NO install points. The competitor MUST be entered in an SPL class at that event to enter the Street Q class. No competitors competing in any other SQ or SQ+ event at that event will be permitted to enter the Street Q class (including World Finals)

| WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It could be that they might decide to use the same meter in all the cars running SQ classes. That means that you make your run for SPL and other for the SQ , but that is the discretion of the SQ head judge in finals. | |

Thatd get expensive. | |

| That is what Ralph explained to me. You must enter an SPL class..mod, trunk, ect. Does not include port, or super port. You must then enter Street Q also. Your SPL score is used in the SPL section of the SQ scoresheet.
I see Ruperto's point. I agree, might be a good idea to use the same mic for those entered in Street Q, or have those in street q run again with the same mic.

| Actually EAllen, this is exactly how it works.
This is designed to bring more of the SPL crowd that enjoy good full range music to try their hand at SQ without having to worry about install. We still have SQ classes that have a + at the end of their name that includes SPL, but with the main emphasis on SQ.
No SQ competitor may compete in Street Q and a SQ class with the same car. If they want SPL, then they will have to compete in one of the SQ+ classes.

| I was going strictly off of the starter of the post in an SQ guy who placed at Finals for several years, and it sounds like he is going for this class. Which to me goes against what the class was set up to do. | |
