Do you gusy have some sort of software or a site that you guys go tto the get wiring schematics and what not for factory cars and cd players?

We use the one you get with DEI product. Its decent. Audio wiring info is pretty slim though.

Audiovox isn't to bad for wiring.

the12volt.com offers alot of info also. They are open to the world, but may not have the most up to date info. For the 'daily joe'...usually the12volt will work. Just search a similar year/model vehicle and do a some trouble shooting to nail down weather or not the listed schematic is correct for your year/model vehicle.

Many vehicle schematics are dead on for other similar style vehicles (EDIT...chevy silverado = GMC Suburban.... Ford explorer = mercury mariner) , you just have to trouble shoot YOUR vehicle to make sure. Some may throw you a curve, but that is the point at which a 'basic' installer and a 'good' installer will pull away. The KEY in 12v installation is the ability to trouble shoot vehicles/installs.

Also, quite a few alarm/RS manu's that offer 'dealer-only' OEM wiring schematics.

and 12v for audio colors when the kids cut the harness ...

Same here. Directechs for remote starts and some audio then the 12volt for audio if Directtechs dont have it. Sh1t we dont even have an account with password, we use our reps account lol
