1. No constructed enclosure, speaker placement, or interior modification that may manipulate the SPL sensor may be placed forward of the “B” pillar and will be considered reason to reclassify the vehicle to the Port Wars or Super Port Wars divisions or disqualification. This decision will be at the discretion of the head judge.

2. No modifications will be allowed to the interior of the passenger compartment forward of the “B” pillars that are intended to manipulate the cabin air space or manipulate the microphone or microphone placement. Removal or modification of OEM equipment in order to facilitate mic placement or modify cabin air space is not allowed.

Exception: In the case of a single cab pickup truck the box, speakers, and amplifiers may extend forward of the “b” post but must not extend further forward than the rear of the truck seat back. Seat back must be locked in place and the seat mounting may not be moved to facilitate system installation.

3. . Scores will be determined by an average SPL taken over 30 seconds.

4. Sensor placement will be any place in front of the “B” pillar facing forward with globe affixed or mounted to windshield without globe at 12” to the left of passenger’s side A pillar and 4” above the dash. (Competitor’s choice)

5. Only commercially available music may be used for judging (no burned cd’s). Only music may be played. Music must contain a discernable bass beat or rhythm. Music with intentionally extended bass tones will not be allowed. This will be at the discretion of the head judge.

6. 1200 rpm maximum (no reveing engine during test).

7. Windows up or down, doors and/or sun roofs open or closed. Doors can be fanned but not slammed during the run.

8. In the event of a system malfunction prior to a score being recorded, the competitor will be given 5 minutes to make repairs and attempt to register a score.

9. Factory or factory replacement front seats must be installed in the vehicle in factory locations. Must have the front bench or both front seats.

10. No woofers larger than 8” inches may be forward of the “B” pillars.

11. Exception to “USACI General Rules”. In Street Beat a competitor may compete in multiple classes within the Street Beat division provided his/her vehicle meets the qualifications for that class. .

(Example: A competitor has 4 - 10" woofers which qualifies him/her to compete in SB2, 3, 4 and 5 but not SB1. Remember that points qualification for SB1, 2, and 3 are listed as "maximum".)

12. Pros* may only compete in SB5.

13. SB5 is the only class open to any vehicles that use a system voltage higher than 14.7 volts or that uses multiple alternators. Any competitor who qualifies for Street Beat 1 through 4 may compete in SB5 by choice.

14. Reruns are allowed.

15. Any current USACI member who competes in at least one Street Beat event will be invited to compete in Street Beat at the USACI world finals.17. In the event an issue arises that is not covered in this section, the USACI Outlaw SPL “General Rules” will apply

We won't have to worry about any of that when the SB CD comes out.

Again, in my part of the country, 8s, 10s and even 12s are used as mids in the doors. This is my door as it looks right now, and this is my daily. 4 10s crossed at 100hz.

just unplug your mids/highs amp during your run....that counts as not having them at all, right?

@Chris, I'm redoing the doors.........adding 4 8s.
Mbrooky, I would love to do that but I don't know i they will accept it.

I'm starting to think there isn't gonna be a CD. O well. haha.

BTW, everybody says I won't be loud cause I stacked my subs unevenly. I just hope they are wrong.

Guess what evrey system is diff. buddy.....do what you do.....they also said 2x4 bracing would hurt my score and guess what it didnt. Its all about YOUR SYSTEM. All you can do is try. I have faith in ya Bo. That setup you had with the 4 10s was original in my opinion. Much props.

From my understanding you can use a IPod, MP3 player still, but remember the Head Judge has the discretion to check it out if it comes into question.

An today is Saturday an no update

I seen that the site was updated but the rules are the same so is SB4 going to be unlimited or not just need to know so I can put my car together is that to much to ask

results need updated too.. only 3 months behind

I am sorry guys, I wish I could do the updates. I would get them done. He has been snowed in and couldn't get to the office....He only went in 1 day all week I think.

Anyway just keeping you informed

i thought it was all updated awhile back .....should leave good enough alone sb has the most entries with current rules so why change whats not broke

When will the sb disc be available? And can we rip it to flashdrive or do we use USACI flashdrive?

I am not sure on when the disc will be available it is in the works as we speak. Until then you will continue to use whatever you have but after it's release you will have to use the OFFICIAL USACi CD. And from what we talked about this morning the directors will have the flashdrive available at the shows for you to use.

I did however find a error on the main page of rules in SB4 - ALTS are unlimited. I sent a email over to Ralph to have him change it but does state correctly in the rulebook. Which is all you should be looking at anyway. (THIS ERROR HAS BEEN FIXED )

Since the official cd has to be used does that mean the records are going to be retired?
