| This post will be updated to keep members informed of amps that are rerated as well as amps that are just "confusing" to rate or hard to get data on because of age, etc...... It will be updated on a regular basis Last Update – 09/21/2007
USACI Certified: Soundstream ----- PCA 2000p 550 watts 06/22/2006 ----- PCA 3500P 1500 watts 06/22/2006

We have checked 18 Atomic amps at 7 different retailers across the United States and found 18 of 18 amplifiers have internal components other than those specified on the cases and in the manufacturers product literature. While this is a most serious issue and requires immediate action we must take into account the members who have unwittingly purchased this product based on the incorrect information provided.
At this time ALL ATOMIC AMPLIFIERS will be automatically rated and placed in the UNLIMITED POWER CLASS of each division. Competitors current points standings will not be affected nor will their ability to compete at finals. Competitors with Atomic amps may move up to the unlimited class at finals regardless of the power class they qualified in.
Straight from the desk of Ralph Randall to American Bass.

| This is awesome!!! We love seeing this updated. It would be even better if there were a section in this thread that states which amps have been protested or in the process of being clarified. Thanks again for the update. | |

| Bump....Some clarification needed on the AB XD3000...the rules specifically state that the highest 4 ohm rating by the manufacturer will be used. So since AB has it listed at 700 watts @ 4ohm on their website, that should be the rating. This situation is no different than the AB400.1 issue from earlier this year. I hope people realized this and aren't looking to fit that amp in 0-600 at finals. | |

| This is sooo confusing to a newbie like myself. Needing clarification---
My amp is rated by the manufacturer to have output power at 14.4v in the following:
1 x 500W @ 4 ohms 1 x 1000W @ 2 ohms 1 x 2000W @ 1 ohm
Now, I'll be wiring the amp to two dual 2s, making them share 1000w @ 2ohm....right?
Well, since the amp is rated at 500 @ 4ohms, will I be in the 0-600 class?
That's what I'm understanding from this thread.
Input please. | |

| whatever it is at 4 ohms. or let say max power divide by4 whichever is higher is the rating you go at. ex 2000 watt at 1 ohms them 2000/4= 500. if it is 3000 at 1 them 3000/4= 750. then it will be 750 watts | |

| Cool deal, indeed. Thanks for the info man. Will be very useful. Like I've said, this really changes everything. I thought I'd fall into the 601-1800 class, since my current setup will be sharing 1000w. Again, thanks man. | |

| I am not for sure but thinking about it it has to be less than 600 cause they are saying that they are the amp to have 0 to 600. I think I read something some wheir that it was like 550 but I am not a pro or even close to it. | |
