If I ran any of the classes yal did I just might have but like I told sanman I wasn't in the position to do so. Him and I talked about what I was concerned with and some of the stuff he saw where I was coming from. I do have a friend who ran in the 0-600 class but as much as he wanted to he decided it wasn't worth it.

I heard the words out of ralphs mouth say the headrests were not ok but hell there were so many things let by through inspection there was no telling if anything else in the car was illegal the way yal were acting. I can understand not wanting people to know some "secrets" yal have come up with through testing the vehicle but there is a much better way of conducting yourself in such a situation. I do not expect to change any of you as I'm sure yal are hard headed. I'm over the issue and there is a new season a head of us all.

Ralph never said they wasnt ok he said it depends on how the rule was interpetated. it was brought to the head judges attention and was ruled legal to do so. it wasnt our call. we could have changed it if had been ruled out and still won!

you could give 90% of competiters a cut sheet for a box and most cant match the numbers of people who know wtf they are doing... now, we all know im no one special.. but my car was untinted and wide open for anyone to see...video..etc.. im smart enough to know its not just a shape of a box and port direction. the people caoable of winning arent looking at the box anyway..

Anyway, trying to throw something together for finals really makes me appreictate all of the work that has gone into getting that car loud. And I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them for truly whipping my ass. Lol. I did actually get a handshake from Donnie? after I got my trophy, but didn't get much converstaion or even eye contact from the other two.

Whichever one was accepting trophies- I tried to catch his eye everytime he passed me to shake his hand and congratulate him, but he was having none of it. Maybe he's quiet. Maybe he doesn't speak to n00bs. I don't know and in the grand scheme- it doesn't matter. The other guy needs to work on his people skills though. Lol. Just sayin.

I did actually try to start up a conversation with them and got nothing but gtfo looks. Like I said... it doesn't matter.

Alan is right when he said that the only comments he made about the car was that it was going to hand me my ass. Everyone knew that car had a 60+ in it which is why I dont' get the + one tenth thing on day one. I guess it's just gamesmanship and I can appreciate that.

It did seem a little odd that they got to run whenever the hell they pleased. As far as I could tell, the car wasn't even in the building until after 8PM on saturday, and certainly wasn't parked in line for reruns before the cutoff time. But that's just semantics.

I think maybe over the 10 years of running, building, testing, etc, that they have just learned what judges are looking for and what they can get away with. And certainly the fact that no one is going to plunk down $1k to protest the car so who cares? I nearly gave myself a panic attack trying to get my truck to pass verification. OEM this and OEM that and is this ok for stock class and I wonder if this random missing piece is gonna disqualify me. It was a lot of headache and tracking random parts down, and now, having gone through verification, I know that I won't ever go those extra miles again. Sad, but true.

I'm not going to say anything about those headrests or the ridiculous amount of tint on the windshield or any of that stupid sh!t because it is painfully obvious that the car is louder than me with or without all of that stuff.

What I am curious about is how you pass verification for 4 different classes in about 5 min. How going from (2) 12v batts to however many 18v batts only nets you 3 tenths when going from stock to super stock for every other vehice is worth about 3db.

And please, for the love of Ralph, can you please tell me the brand of sound deadener you use on your roof and still managed an OEM headliner in there?

Actually "behind the scenes" ralph said it was not ok and I have plenty of people to back that. I'm not saying its your fault that the judges went against what was said I just stated it was an issue in everyones eyes.

Yal had these smug looks on your faces and kept give smirks and mean mugging. Not sure if I just noticed it since I was with Alan but thats just what I saw.

Just like alan said it takes much more than a box design to do high numbers. I'm sure even if someone looked at your car then went and built something similar it wouldn't be close due to the fact that the most important information is the stuff you learned through testing.

I along with other people have suspicions that will remain just those for now I assume. You could have lost and I would have felt the same way. haha not to mention when there was that volt meter issue I think tamu brought up so ralph used the meters connected to yals car and both read 16-17volts

Ever heard of an adjustable regulator and alternator, the one on my truck goes up to, well at least 18v.

I wouldnt recommend it all the time, but it wont hurt 12v batts to occasionally put 18v to them.
